General Purpose Implant Setup for Mission Running

I guess this should go here since it pertains to mission running and such. Anyway...

Has anyone come up with a good combination of implants for slots 6-10 that would be a good all-around setup for missions? Right now I hop between a Golem and a Paladin depending on the mission pulls I get, but I also have two clones I use, one set for gunnery and the other for missiles.

Needless to say it has gotten tedious with the wait time between jumps so I am looking for a setup that compromises a bit so I won't have to keep doing this each time I want to re-ship.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Well, I think it depends on the type of Defense and Offense you mainly use.

For example, I have my Hardwired Implants set up to mainly help increase Shield Tank with a buff to Probing and Missile Launching :

Slot #6 = Zainou 'Gnome' Shield Upgrades SU-605
(5% reduction in power grid needs of modules requiring the Shield Upgrades skill.)

Slot #7 = Zainou 'Gnome' Shield Management SM-705
(5% bonus to shield capacity.)

Slot #8 = Poteque 'Prospector' Astrometric Rangefinding AR-806
(6% stronger scanning strength with scan probes.)

Slot #9 = Zainou 'Gnome' Shield Operation SP-905
(5% boost to shield recharge rate.)

Slot #10 = Zainou 'Deadeye' Rapid Launch RL-1005
(5% bonus to all missile launcher rate of fire.)

Kinda tough doing missiles + guns cause of the overlap. The game wants u to specialize.

Hybrid + projectiles aren't bad, cause ur overlap is only in slot 10.

6: warp speed
7: falloff
8: whatever. Maybe cap pool
9: surgical strike
10: large hybrid or projectile

Unfortunately this is what I'm thinking too. The overlap of the missiles vs. turrets, not to mention the two tank types, are't terribly conducive to a single setup. I sort of resigned myself to this, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't possibly overlooking something.

Another possibility to running cross missile/turret imp sets is though jump clones. With the infomorph psych and sync skills, you can jc from your missile/shield clone to a turret/armor clone and back again every 19 hours as needed. It's not perfect and gets expensive maintaining two full imp sets rather than one, but it can help you take full advantage of both offense and both tanking styles' implant sets.

"Trouble is, those things cost like a million and a half each."

"----, you pay me half that and I'll hump in some c4 and blow the ---- out of it my own damn self."

Anyone toyed with a shield paladin with crystals in?

Something with a large Deadspace shield booster full damage/tracking in lows and basition.

If you ran something like that then your implants wouldnt overlap at all.

My general purpose clone for various levels and ships missioning is as follows:

Eifyr and Co. 'Rogue' Warp Drive Speed WS-610 (hopefully offsets some time lost to dps loss)
Zainou 'Gnome' Shield Management SM-703 (helps with ehp, buffer and passive fits)
Inherent Implants 'Squire' Energy Management EM-803 (helps with active, cap, and mwd fits)
Eifyr and Co. 'Gunslinger' Surgical Strike SS-903 (gun ships normally chosen for missions requiring alpha)
Zainou 'Deadeye' Rapid Launch RL-1003 (gives dps to missile ships)

This, except upgrade everything to 05 from 03. It's a mission setup. You're not losing the pod unless you do something stunningly dumb.

If I was jumping between a Golem and a Paladin, this is what I would use.

Slot 6: Zainou "Snapshot" Cruise Missiles 605 <-- increase cruise missile damage
Slot 7: Zainou "Gypsy" Signature Analysis SA-705 <--increase scan resolution; faster lock time!
Slot 8: Zaniou "Deadeye" Guided Missile Precision GP-805 <--lets your missiles hit better.
Slot 9: Eifyr and Co. "Gunslinger" Sugincal Strike SS-905 <--increase damage to turret weapons
Slot 10: Inherent Implants "Lancer" Large Energy Turret LE-1005 <--increases damage to large lasor turrets

gunnery or missile implants are by far the most beneficial for those slots when it comes to missions. If using both a missiles and guns are important to you, then you'd best just swap ships as needed, and stop waiting on getting into the right clone.
