Well hello there!

Things you want to know:

Dates:
Oct 17-19, 2014 with festivities beginning the evening of Friday October 17th and ending early afternoon Sunday October 19, 2014.

Location:
Hotel / Convention: Planet Hollywood Las Vegas
Reception: 3rd floor of Chateau in Paris Las Vegas next door

Ticket prices:
The only discounted tickets left are $175 a piece, with all of the $125/$150 tickets sold already. After this block of 96 remaining tickets tickets go to full price at $200 a ticket.

There are many things still in the planning phase:
1. CCP Speakers
2. Player Speakers
3. The extent of ISK based in person gambling, looking to expand the length and types of games
4. The pub crawl, so many ideas
5. Reveals
6. PVP room

We are currently accepting proposals from player speakers! If select your airfare and ticket are free! Submit topics and your bio to info@evevegas2.com

As we move forward and confirm things I'll update this post and thread.

The Alliance Ticket contest is back again this year! The alliance with the most tickets purchased again wins a very cool prize for every member of their alliance who show up.

VIP prize packages are also back this year. Just by buying a ticket you'll get a chance to win a suite upgrade, limo rides and diamond status

Any chance of a SoE event??

I REALLY liked the poker tournament in lieu of the pub crawl for us old farts or non drinkers. That being said, there were a lot of pub crawlers who wanted to play poker.
Hard to balance that

Also, I'll try and do a quick write up on how to get from airport to hotel for $7 instead of a $35 taxi

Any updated info on how to book a room? Called Planet Hollywood directly and they needed a code as they didn't have Eve Vegas on their list

They are generating the group code now, it always take a bit between contract signing and group code generation

The new Permaband song lends itself well to (drunken) karaoke, either a full or backup singer version could work. Maybe arrange a time slot with the cameras rolling to make an Eve Vegas music video of sorts?

Zapawork, I attended 2012, and would like to attend this year.

Will you take a look at this thread... I'm wondering if a graphical, visualized explanation of the turret tracking formula and mechanic would be popular enough to warrant a presentation.

After the UI suggestion was so well-recieved, I've considered doing a more thorough, general use explanation of the tracking mechanic and gameplay... it's quite extensive, and covers applied examples of all subcap ship categories and subcap roles.

I think EVE Vegas would be an excellent occasion and format to present it: streamed, and full of 'a-ha' moments and lightbulbs... painlessly consuming a 15-30 minute block.

I'm quite comfortable speaking to groups and I have extensive experience giving presentations. As a sergeant in both the US Air Force and Army, I held instructional/training classes on a weekly basis.


I don't have Mittenz' amazing skin and boyish good looks, but I am photogenic-ish. (I don't think I've ever had such nice skin as Mittenz', now that I think about it)

I'll be there, no idea on topics except the usual, updates on legion/dust, valk, eve, etc.

Can't wait to go, the last one I did, back in 09 (yea its been a while) was fun. And yea a non drinker event the first night would be cool, as I don't drink =) or i'll just go gamble, either way

I went to the reception venue again yesterday and got some new pictures that I'll be posting up on the website. It's amazing! We are taking over the 3rd floor of Chateau at Paris Las Vegas! It's a huge roof deck right under the Eiffel tower with lots of seating and great views of the strip and the Bellagio fountains.

Two big bars and I already made sure there would be multiple food stations so no huge lines this year!
