Is there an Armor tanked Missile T1 Hull Battle Cruiser?

I have just realized that my skill plan is leading me into a hole. I thought that there would be Armor tanked missile ships as I progressed but can not find any. I really need a T1 Hull Battlecruiser or Battleship that fits this need but can't find one. Has this been addressed before? Am I missing something? I see the Prophecy but it is really just a drone boat with missile launcher hard points.

Battlecruiser... not really.
For Battleships there would be the Typhoon.

Typhoon. It is both a BC and a BS so it fulfills both of your requirements.
Edit: Don't train the BC skill for it though. I was lying about the BC part.

Torp Typhoon is awesome for close range brawling, but they are only good against other BS and maybe webbed BC.
Since they improved cruise missiles, I would assume they might be better for fighting BC and down these days.

Missiles and armor aren't really much of a thing, at least not without drones as a big part of DPS.

What about the Gnosis? You'd still need to be able to make good use of drones in order to maximize it, but other than that it's probably the closest you can get.

The gnosis is what you are seeking. Only t1 bc hull that can legitimately armor tank with missiles. You can argue about it being special edition but it is t1 so it fulfills your requirements.

Armor and missiles give you the following ships:

Malediction
Prophecy (Has no Missile bonuses however)
Sacrilege
Legion
Loki
Typhoon / Fleet phoon

100MN Ham legion / Sac are prob going to be your best bet IMO

Garmonation 9 is a PvP video that has some great 100MN HAM legion footage. Check it out!

You could always spend the 8 days required to have an all IVs shield tank (compensations ignored because they're rarely useful) and then fly a bunch of missile/shield ships.

If ur wanting it for PvE/ lvl3s and absolutely need an armor tanked BC, just throw an armor tank on a cyclone or drake. You only need 3 slots and could prolly get away with less depending on your range and opposing faction.

Also Vengeance that is like an Armor Hawk except it can't abuse the double MASB.
And Damnation that is a sexy T2 Prophecy with bonus to missiles instead of drones.

not as bad as you may think. it catches the enemy off guard and allows you to fit lots of EWAR.

Not ideal, but not bad if the OP just needs a ship b4 transitioning to a phoon. In PvE, you don't need an awesome tank, just a sufficient one, and when you consider the number of newer players using 3 lows for relays on their passive tank, using 3 for armor isn't terrible.

I assume you are thinking this about PVE use. I believe you can happily armor tank a cyclone. use lots of TP's on meds and use furies to have a veyr decent damage application on it.

For pvp it does have PG to fit hams neuts and 1600. It is good.

Technically the Armageddon also fits the bill (it has 5 launchers for a reason, and 7 lows means it armour tanks like a bastard)
The only downside is that it has no bonus to those launchers, as it's primarily a drone boat.
It does have a nice NOS and Neutralizer bonus. Big smile
