Any chance the T3 Legion will receive a buff in the near future?

As the title says, I really like the look of the Amarr T3 cruiser but the ship lacks luster in so many ways. And so I was wondering if CCP had any plans to look over the ships attributes in the near future or would I be better off training for another T3 cruiser instead?

CCP has stated that balancing all T3 Cruisers is on their agenda for the very near future, and that all subsystems will be balanced and made viable, be that by nerfing some combinations and buffing others.

Any spelling/grammatical errors come complimentary with my typing on a phone

Sounds good!
Guess I'll keep training then... :)

What is it your trying to do with the legion? It is a heavily relied upon ship for incursions, and also makes an insane HaM baiter. You also see them quite often in WH space as mini bhaalgorns. There are other t3s that need buffs long before the legion hull is looked at.

That's quite a limited set of uses

They have a much broader variety of uses than any non t3, but aren't quite up to par on say, cloaky ganging like the proteus, or exploration sites like the tengu, no. Certainly not a limited set of uses.

There is 5 configs i find prety useful

Heavy nueting ahac for wh where mass matters(Mini Bhaal)

Covert Nueting(Nuking carrier ratters with hot drops)

Ham Fit

Heavy ahac fit.

Fleet armor booster.

Now its not as multi-purpose as the tengu or proteus but it fills its niche pretty well. Realistically the loki has less uses.

you forgot hotdrop logi fit, which is something DAMN useful underrated thing for altchars ;)

also you didn't mention the laserfits for a legion, which is also viable ( zealot 2.0)

you didn't mention hybrids of those above, who may become viable in smallscale

That beeing said, the Legion & Loki are the 2 most viable T3s out there, while in theory the proteus has better dps, the legion shines with better application & projection and equal tank (nowdays its easy to counter most proteus fanatics with kin + therm resistacking (refitting on caps ftw)....)

Not sure what's so bad with the legion.

It's the mainstay ship in alot of incursion groups and is the workhorse of alot of notable WH groups

I personally fly a beam legion over every other t3 available for WH fleet PvP

My impression of theCCP comments about the proposed T3 balance is they want them to be better than T1 and to be versatile but INFERIOR to a T2 in any one specialized area because current T3s are making some T2s useless.

A lot of people are interpreting that as a nerf but we will have to wait and see.

To be honest, the only nerf I'm really expecting is a nerf to Tengu EHP and maybe a nerf to active reps for all T3s. Other than that, I think it's just a case of giving them more flavour with subs.

Can't see active rep getting that much of a nerf tbh. Tengu/Prot/Legion will likely all lose their 10% armour/shield hitpoint subsystems to a lower bonus imo. But on the whole, T3s aren't really that badly balanced with some of the other buffs throughout the game recently. If Recons get a bit more cap/ehp T3s really will struggle to be the best at a fair few areas when compared to HACs, Recons, Faction Cruisers and Command ships.

I would expect t3's to be rebalanced in a point release sometime before December.

"**CCP is changing policy, and has asked that we discontinue the bonus credit program after November 7th. So until then, enjoy a super-bonus of 1B Blink Credit for each 60-day GTC you buy!"**

Never forget.

I spoke with Rize / Fozie about this personally at fanfest 2014 this year.

Rize feels that T3 generally have too much EHP at the moment, and are up for a large rebalance that is hopefully going to make more sub systems viable to be used, while also toning down some of the 'most used' T3 setus to be more in line with other ships.

So no, don't expect a buff

HAM Tengu is better than HAM Legion
ABHAC Proteus is better than ABHAC Legion

Only PVP use where Legion is best T3 is as a neut boat. It might or might not be cloaked.

All T3's will be rebalanced in the future. Biggest Legion disadvantage is being mid slot heavy and low slot light compared to Proteus or T2 armor tankers. (which is exactly why it's a worse ABHAC)

Is the problem with the legion related to the ship itself or to the medium lasers ?
Seems like everyone uses it either as HAM, Neut (cloaky or mini bhaal) or the ocasional Covert Logi.

Not much love for the 6 rainbow lazor setup.
Would a smallish drone bay fix that ? if not, what kind of bonus do you think it need ?
