you're proposing a solution where there isn't a problem.

i'm sure you see the futility and stupidity of such an action.

You make no sense at all.
If she did, she wouldn't have posted it in the first place.

Your post in no way or form educates her.

the great problem is, when people post things like this it's almost a guarantee that any form of education would be wasted effort.

Hmm...

Needs some more bounty.

Everything in EVE is a trap.

And if it isn't, it's your job to make it a trap...:)

Thanks to Crimewatch, suspect actions are no longer coded as being committed against a specific player. So your solution isn't feasible.

Oh, and + 5 million bounty.

Oh, and your corp has the word "mining" in it. Watchlisted.

CrimeWatch.

Reminds me. One can't draw Sentry aggro anymore
from ahooting the station without getting CONCORDed.

Quite a weird change.

It seems we found the real problem:

There is no way to place pointless* bounties on angry carebears from the forums.

* your bounty simply just does not matter, in any amount.

So how do I put a bounty on someone who has scammed me????

Or who has threatened me in Local chat channel????

Or someone who constantly bumps me????

Here's some advice:

1. Post in the correct forum.

2. Stay out of C&P, its obviously not for you.

3. Play Eve for more than 2.5 Months before making grand game changing suggestions.

Like most people, you fail to understand how reality and language work.

Every time I place a bounty on someone and he emotionally reacts to it,
the bounty matters.

Every time somebody with bounty gets killed,
the killer receives money and somebody gets a notification.

Substantially high amounts matter for those receiving it.

Many put out bounties to receive notifications about a loss of the bounteed,
so again it matters.

Bounties are a temporary (sometimes permanent) ISK sink,
so they matter here too.

Reality. People. Hard to understand, I know.

If you people will find a way to actually properly express your issues with bounty,
then others might actually care enough to push this pointless whining beyond irrelevance.

So the best anyone can do is not address any issue, just bully the person trying to point out an obvious flaw. Ive been ganked twice in as many hours did i scream and shout!, Because its the nature of the game that people can do what they want with no conscience. Now I have a bounty of 7 million on a miner character who has done nothing, so you ruin my gaming experience and target the corp i belong to, real mature. Thanks for your compassion.

Also I'm sorry for posting in the wrong place but i dont see you pointing this noob in the right direction!

If you were looking for compassion then i'm afraid you are in the wrong place. There are always consequences... like having to put up with mails and notifications every time you get ganked... thats the consequences of my action. Being slightly less flippant about it there are always consequences for everything in eve, (such as the ganker losing sec status and his ship) its just that there are some more pleasant than others.

Also it seems like your bounty is a little low, i'll add a little now and make sure to top it up every time i see t go down. Enjoy your stay here.

Its all about definition, You have a bounty on your head because you did something to someone else, hence you deserve the "WANTED" tag and corresponding bounty.

Here is where is falls apart, when someone places a bounty on another because they can. This is out right prejudice, placing a possibly innocent capsule-er at unnecessary risk through no fault of their own. Its desirable for some freighters, miners etc. to keep a low profile, having an unwanted label and financial incentive no matter how small (as for some it takes only a little excuse.) to get blown away is not good.

So here how it goes whats good for one is good for all and if this issue is not taken seriously then everyone should place a bounty and wanted on everyone they feel like, its bad enough having to deal with morons, but when you play a game to relax (yes relax) then being pulled into the ****** side of things just ruins the fun. because someone dosn't like the look of you.

Here is my solution.

The only time you should be able to place a bounty on another is when they have committed a suspect action against you. ( you have the time it takes for the suspect timer to run out to think about and place a bounty.) simple as.

If however you don't like someone then you should go through the 'Contracts and place an actual hit on someone' which morons can find in contracts.

Hence we have the distinction of both "good bounty hunters" and moron hitmen.

like a reverse killright, right?

Bounties are no big deal unless someone really dislikes you. Placing a casual million ISK bounty on a freighter pilot is not going to make them into a more attractive target.

Other than that, I don't really like your suggestion because not all acts you might want to put a bounty up for are suspect acts. Merc corps can run around shooting up high-sec without incurring so much a slap on the wrist from Concord, but that shouldn't save them from getting a bounty.

I like the idea of contract hits. Is that a thing right now? If not it should be.
