i would love to change my name (never let your young son name your toon)

however its not possible for very good reasons.

I cant change my name in eve, but then I cant fly a spaceship in real life either

from this I deduce EVE!=Real Life ... therefore expecting to be able to do in one what you can do in the other is pointless

I've never understood this.
why not allow name changes but add a section to employment history tab that shows previous alias. Problem solved.
You should'nt be able to escape your passed but if you don't like your characters name then that should be fine to change.

If we are going to do name changes then I feel the need to do sex changes for plex. While I was born into the body of a man I feel that it was a mistake and I demand the ability for gender reassignment or at least to let me wear women's clothes from the Nobel Exchange.

This is a good point, and a possible opportunity to lose that name if you want to. Take some time and think up your new name, check it with an in game search and write a nice beg letter explaining your case to CCP. You may get it changed.

I highly doubt it, but you never know till you try. Moast name change requests are from knuckle heads that named their toon MyLittlePony48739763623, and so forth, then put 50 million sp on it before complaining.

In your case, it's a companies intellectual property which may matter.
