Is it viable to fit a long point and a scram for range domination on a ship?

Yes and no. If you have the room to fit both it can be ok. Generally you either want to be at long point range and kite with a web to slow them down if they try and get closer.

Or in scram range with a web to deny their mobility while you face **** them.

Fitting both really doesnt help as much as one or the other+ a web. Unless of course your in a bonused hull for them or trying to catch **** thats stabbed.

Yes, and no.

Defensive Scram can be useful on kiting ships along side a long point, particularly on LML Inties as they receive a bonus to scram range, however it is more usual to fit a web because you can squeeze more range out of it on an unbonused hull.

It can make sense if you're the designated tackler in a gang, and need to be able to tackle whatever the hell you encounter.

I can't see it being a great help for "range domination".
