Relevant I think. Especially in light of the beginning of Falcon's news post. Cool

11 years ago, today, I was a scared, bony little 23 year old Best Buy computer salesman, trying to hide an EVE addiction from my angry jealous wife.
Today, I am a 34-year old ex-military divorced studmuffin studying to become a biologist, with an awesome nerdy girlfriend who fully supports my boat violencing habit.

EVE isn't the only thing that has improved over the last decade, and I appreciate all of you who've watched EVE and myself, change for the better :)

Yes..... this needed to be said, here.

Remember..... if I violence your boat, I'm just trying to help the community :)
Ferox just wants to be friends (and give you MOAR GECKOS!!)....

I would like to file an official COMPLAINT ... (No E-O forum thread without somebody complaining.)

...that CCP's lackluster marketing of EVE meant ... (Blaming somebody else for your failures.)

...I didn't discover the game until late '08,... (Lame excuses galore.)

...so I missed out on a lot of the early history of the game. (Didn't want those years of SP anyway.)

What, you say, free über drones? ("Oh shiny!" Discussion easily thrown off track.)

OK, I'll stick around a while longer. (May claim to unsub, but won't.)

Big smile

Happy birthday, EVE!

PS: Dear CFC, sorry about the ~ 90 pods I caught during Burn Jita 3. Remember that Killing is just a means of communication... Pirate (Uses forum alt to make outrageous(?) claims and shield main from forum poasting...)

Have you Communicated with your fellow capsuleers today? It is good for the EvE-oconomy and o-kay for you.

11 years. That's nothing to laugh at.

This game has the potential to change the way sci-fi is consumed. A day may come when people no longer just watch it on TV or just read books about it (those media will not be entirely dropped, just related). There might not be an EO in say 20 years, but there will be something based on it or expanded from it. It will always be the standard.

Bring back DEEEEP Space!

I believe that EVE has the potential to become the next god of sci-fi franchises.
Need to dig back into the lore and see if some huge name sci-fi writer will take on the task of building a series of movies from it. Perhaps even a TV show.
There's already a couple of novels. I have yet to read The Burning Life, but I plan to.

The warhammer 40k novels are nearly all cr@p but the RA Salvatore D&D novels are surprisingly good. Wing Commander was good for a game based movie but confusing for people that never played the game. The D&D movies all sucked really.

The only good thing about any of the D&D movies was when Tom Baker played that elf priest in the 2000 one....
As an oldschool Doctor Who fan, I about fell out of my seat when I heard his voice.
