As the title suggests, lets get a thread going in support of the old strip miner animation. That rugged, deep feel and sound of digging up those asteroids.

CCP Looks at the forums, so lets get this going!

I loved having fleet ops, and hearing that deep laser sound. It sounded powerful, like a strip miner should. Fleet ops looked like a full-blown stripper operation, if you know what I mean.

I think the current animation is good for miners, but not strip miners.

Help me bring back the old strip miner animation.

Even if you arent a miner, support me in this cause.

I remember is being a cool effect. I also miss the deep thrumming rasping sound of them. Now it is a quiet hiss.

Because it is good for all of New Eden. More people who like the affects of mining, the more miners there will be. The more miners there are, the more minerals there are. The more minerals there are, the less they cost. The less they cost, the more people buy.

Not to mention, on pirating terms... more miners = more gankers. More gankers = more catalyst hulls. It is a win-win both ways.

You aren't making the best case for yourself. If I were to mine, I wouldn't do it because of the graphic that one kind of module makes. That takes time away from CCP who have plenty other things on their plate. What difference does a sound make to my overall enjoyment of EVE?

None at all.

you sir are wrong. I remember when they changed it, and was disappointed enough to not want to even mine.... It matters to us miners. Imagine how awesome it would be to have the old animation back.,. SO awesome!!
