Making Omelettes OR Hunting for the Crystal Egg [pod KM LOLz]

So, being the dastardly bunch of n'er-do-wells that we are, we here at TEARS decided to kick off the release of Crucible with a wee bit of pod-hunting sport. It seems there is no end to the number of numbskulls who are willing to auto pilot through the pipes, and since we "sort of" hold Sov over commercial traffic through Sivala, we decided to start issuing Loitering Tickets again. This soon turned into an ongoing game of Crystal Set Hunting.

Of course, there are drawbacks. The loss of reimbursement for our 1.1 mil ISK thrashers means we'll likely run out of ISKies by early 2018, but we'll enjoy the sport while we can. Suffice to say that anyone auto piloting through New Eden these days does so at great peril as I'm no doubt certain others have taken up this magnificent Game Within a Game.

I'm a little behind on the game, my podkiller alt is still cooking because I keep thinking of other stuff I want to train.

Take it from a pro. Kill the shuttle then follow in with a friend and get pod. 98% of the time I'm finding those have implants.

So you sit in high-sec space waisting time killing pods belonging to random players for no profit, hoping to catch someone with expencive implants,. pathetic

but yeah,. ppl do what they want how they want to,. dont rly care,. im just allrdy tired of these " brag ? " threads about pods being kamakazid after the update.

i mean u dont even know the players your podding,. i enjoy podding my enemies and i love the pod km´s for that but hey,. get a life ( in eve )

SkullKid, I notice that you're running a bit low on letters, and that your post suffers greatly due to this scarcity. I would like to donate at least one dozen sets of all twenty-six non-multibyte characters in hopes that your scathing posts critiquing innocent fun (pod-killing randoms) can read as something other than illiterate drivel.

Simply autopilot to my vacation home in Sivala, in your pod, and I will gladly deposit the additional characters into your noggin.

Confirming that popping the ship for profit, then following with the pod is a tried-and-true tactic, but we've still scrambled some silly eggs who insist on auto-piloting in their pricey, faction-embedded space egg. Friday has our KB looking quite silly in fact.

I guess we're kicking off Pod-A-Geddon a bit early.

Personally I would be spending my time, isk ,and sec status popping haulers. Whats better than killmail and tears?

how fast do you burn through sec status? I am at 0,6 and i think i can get 2 pods in before being unable to go to 1.0 space, is this about right?

Well, Suddenly Violence is a dedicated suicide ganking corp, so we/they harvest profits in the Sivala/Uedama pipe daily; haulers, shuttles, whatever happens to be carrying the goods. It's just kind of funny with the Incarna KM "fix" to shoot random pods that AFK on their way to Jita.

Sec Status? The entire corp is already flashy red.

@ Dilligafmofo,

Suddenly Violence due to its flashy red nature tends to stay close to our own little slice of Hell in Sivala.

I too scraped through the remains of what used to be brain, and found only a pitiful excuse for implants...

I got from 0.2 or so to -3.5 in one fateful click, so I'd say that's about right.

It makes all of Eve more exciting though.

Still think the pod killmail "buff" is a bad idea. Before, there really was no reason to pod someone other then if you want to cause you didn't know what was in side. Now they just do it, cause its easy, cheap as hell while zero ******* risk to the guy pulling the trigger vs a pod (shouldn't risk be for both players involved? nobody is a lone wolf, we are all sheep in EVE), and it bloats that killboard just as much as mental fellatio to their epeen.

I would laugh my ass off if CCP could brainfart the idea "P2W charge" for popping pods. Think how much more income CCP could make by charging an extra $0.25 USD micro transaction on top of the monthly subscription for the privilege to pad your own ego.

You know what would be even better? Charging the same fee for horrible posts like yours! Think of the income for CCP from widot alone!

tl;dr Autopilot your tanked ship to jita instead of your pod.. now there's a novel idea.

This, pretty much. Don't waste your time on pods sitting on undocks.

Also ccp, implement an implant scanner (like ship scanner but for eggs) please.
