Doesn't anyone read the lore. It's been 2100 decades since we last heard from earth.

I look forward to the reopening of the wormhole to Holy Terra, and the slaughter of false prophets and puny DUST soldiers by the glorious might of the God Emperor's own Adeptes Astartes.

Or who knows, maybe the Amarr and Terrans would hit it off well, get an intergalactic bromance going on, lord knows it'd be hard to tell the difference between them.

https://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Timeline

AD 2730 The Old earth solar system fully colonized
AD 3691 Warp technology discovered
AD 4224 Warp drives for ships invented
AD 7987 The wormhole leading to the world of EVE is discovered
AD 8061 EVE gate collapses
Then EVE's humans experienced an 8,000+ year long Dark Ages.

There were ~3,700 years between when ship warp drives were invented and the EVE wormhole was discovered. The EVE wormhole collapsed 74 years after being discovered.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Humanity spread pretty far across the Milky Way galaxy and that the EVE wormhole was a blip in terms of population migration. Plus, does anything think that 74 years is enough time to bring the EVE colonies up to to same tech and industrial level as Human society in the Milky Way?

tl;dr - Terrans are gods. Don't let the Amarr tell you otherwise.

Doubtful. Amarr was settled by Catholics. I think the Terran Space Pope is going to be unamused by what the Amarr have become.

I, for one, welcome the Space Pope's attack fleets.

edit: Well, okay, fringe Catholics.

Right-click on a star some time--you'll notice that some of them are older than the age of the universe. What this means, of course, is that the Eve gate led to a place distant in both time and space, and we are in the far future.

Ergo, Earth was consumed by Sol billions of years ago when that star became a red giant.

Terrans would rip our faces off and wear them.
It would be a bloodbath..... and it would be OUR blood.

After the gate collapsed, the terrans had to start all over again, just like the humans in New Eden.

Except Earth's progression was slower, and they are no more advanced than we are, right now in the 21st century.

In fact, we are Earth, the ones playing the game EVE Online, and New Eden is nothing more than fantasy.

And then you wake up and it was all a dream.

The end.

You don't even need to read the lore, just turn the intro video back on Blink

edit: ok, beyond the B5 rip off, here is my theory:

When the EVE gate collapsed, Earth was utterly wiped out.
After so many years, New Eden developed as it did.
At some point, about fifteen years ago, someone in New Eden developed a new online game based on old Earth.
After running successful for five years, someone got it into their head to introduce WiS er I mean SIMS expansion into the game.
And here we have been the past ten years, old simulated Terrans, in some backroom server in New Eden in a game most forgot about after Wi... er I mean the SIMS expansion was released. Our reality is a lie and EVE is real!

In any case, if you watch the introductory animation to the game, it explains that Earth was pretty much forgotten about.

Most people in New Eden have no clue about the existence if Earth at all I would suspect.

Which would explain why the minmatar assault frigate Wolf is "Named after a mythical beast renowned for its voraciousness"

Now, more than ever, we need a dislike button.

So when will the chaos gods and orkz visit New Eden after the EVE gate is back online?

Or how most of the minnie ships names follow Norse Mythology for that matter.

Actually, Caldari and Gallente names as well. The Amar ship names are the only ones intended to make us feel like we're bad people. Big smileBig smile

Then last week they decided to port that game off the minmatar platform and to a nice new clean Caldari platform. This caused all the Minmatars playing it to to take off their Daft punk uniforms one last time, and rage quit in a massive exodus to the biomassing self service station.

Big smile

That episode was okay.
It was monumentally better than the season following it.

There are a number of contradictions in the game, however the information about contact with earth and the disaster that occured following the close of the wormhole is fairly clear.

Oh pfff I don't even have that last season in my DVD collection. Even Excalibur was better, at least the Galen episodes. imo after S4, they should have flashed back to either the Minbari war or to B4 after it went back, at least for a season.
