Falcon - Just to get on everyone's nerves.

Utu - Because you want an assault frigate, and you want to have a pimped out one. Just tell yourself it's to catch those pesky interceptors and covops.

Crane - For hauling stuff. Because, well, no one attacks very ugly ships.

Kronos - Fit it with blasters and just **** face. If you can get close enough.

And a random ship. Maybe another Utu, just for fun.

If you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all...

Cant think of 5 that absolutely everyone should have, but:

* T1 Scanning Frigate. Nice cargo for a frigate, scans, lights cynos, cheap, etc. Quite a bit of utility for the price.

* industrial

* shuttle

* rookie ship ( most should have them xD)

Frigate
Cruiser
Battleship
Salvage Ship
Hauler

CODE is just a bunch of pirates; smart, organized pirates. It doesn't help to rage at them because that is exactly what they want. Dust yourself off and get back on your feet, you don't even have to talk to them.

Evening folks,

Was thinking about my ships earlier, ones I have, ones I don't and ones that I should really get rid of!

Anyway, what do you folks think are the 5 sub-cap ships everyone should have whether its due to looks, roles, abilities and so on.

6) orca - because while a blockade runner is awesome to move some stuff about, sometimes it's better to grab the orca and bring the entire home with ya.

For medium-term pilots, I'd say:

1) Make sure you have a covops. Doesn't really matter which one. They're just too useful for too many things.
2) Blockade runner. Nothing beats a non-Prowler for k-space hauling medium- to high-value stuff around. If w-space is your thing a Prowler is acceptable.
3) Max out a T3. It doesn't really matter which one on the surface of it but really max it. Ideally pick the one that best suits your activities of course.
4) Max out at least one ABC. Not a Naga. A good one.
5) Ishtar. The meta will fade but right now it's the ship to have for oh so many things.

1) An AF. Depending on what you like to fly. When I do epic arcs or PVP I usually use the Jag and the Vengeance. (I don't PVP much on this guy because I need on reputable character to post with. When I do it's with newbros and I fit silly so they wont be afraid to lose their ships).

2) A Hac of you choice. I like the Ishtar and the Cerb, but I mostly fly Caldari and Gallente so go figure. They are great for working though lvl 3s and most 4s. You also learn most of your fitting skills thought training for them.

3) A t3 of your choice. This will depend on what you like to do. I like the Tengu for riskier(read might be ganked) PVE.

4) Scimitar(or the Gallente one). Having a T2 Logi ship makes everyone love you. From small ganks to incursions. I can't think of a better ship to earn isk with or make people fall deeply in love with you.

5) A marauder. Even if you don't fly it a lot you should have one. You learn a lot of valuable skills to V to sit in on. That and you can full face tank whatever you want.

If you look at the list you could see that I think it would be helpful if most people trained AF, HAC, T3, Marauder then Logi or Logi then Marauder. There is a ton of overlap if you stick to one race. This give you the most versatility for exploration, PVP and PVE while making it easier to cross-train into whatever you want.
