If the basic UI features were a bit more refined for touch screens I dont see why it couldnt happen. By basic I mean stuff like warp to 0, jump, orbit, keep at range...you know all the stuff the selected item window does. Ironically the UI part has already been a bit more streamlined in the form of the radial menu, it just needs to be touch screen friendly. You want to be able to rotate your camera or clicking someone without triggering the radial menu.

Tablets and phones are becoming more powerful everyday and eventually may become as powerful as a standard laptop. With windows devices now available, this further concretes the possibility of playing eve on one. I have used remote programs like teamviewer before, it was over LAN so no lag or loss of quality...but it still had limited controls, it would take nearly twice as long to do something as using a mouse and keyboard.

As I said though, if you could develop the client for a mobile device to use different UI elements from the PC client, you probably could do it. Which presents another question, what about touchscreen PCs? They are certainly becoming popular as of late. So the sizing of ui elements wouldnt be an issue, just the responsiveness and usability of them. Although...I wouldnt want to play on one during Burn jita haha talking about expensive raging.
