Two quick things; Buddy answer and keys themselves.

* Buddy: These trials are not Buddy trials. You only get Buddy rewards for sending Buddy trials and having someone convert on those trials. If Buddy is your preferred thing, please use it! This something just a bit different.

* The codes are in Account Management, under Services>Voucher Center. There have been some issues with some browsers, the Web team is all over it right now.

I guess I just don't understand the new program then. It seems inferior to the existing buddy program in every single way, other than for player's who actually have no plans to subscribe and simply want a throw-away 'trial only' account. With the buddy program I can invite a RL friend, give him a PLEX, and he gets 51 days to try the game at no cost to me, and no limitations on his game play.

With this... I can invite a RL friend who can play a partially crippled version of the game for 9 days longer? Considering the one-time only voucer / 30 days only offer it just seems a trifle misguided?

Best of luck with the offer, I'm sure it'll get some folks in and interested, but it just seems the existing buddy program would be better for virtually everyone? If you have a friend who knows he wants to play the game, and is willing to pay for it out of the gate he does gain 9 'free' days, which is nice I guess?

Hopefully you guys aren't forgetting the Cerebral Accel. thingie that current buddy invite player's get, or has that offer already ended?

If this is actually a code you can put anywhere, then I will make use of it. Many times I don't have the email address of a new aquaintance I might meet in the line of work, and wished I could just give them a code so they may join eve, and with this they may.

It is. You generate a one-time only code from the account management site, and they can plug it into the site when they sub. One time only though, and the code must be redeemed this month, and expires next.

In voucher center it says Expires 12/24/2011,
and in the devblog and in "link" section it says: These codes must be redeemed and used by January 24th

Which one is it?

I gave out one of the codes to a friend.

He tried to use it, it keeps telling him the code is invalid or has been used.

Doesn't look like it was answered but if 60 day trial account starts, buys a 30 day gametime code same day will he get a total of 90 days of regular gametime?

On Firefox 8.0.1, when i click to claim the code, i get an error message :
"An unexpected error occurred, please try again later. If the problem persists, please contact customer support. "

Will try with an old IE

edit : worked with IE7. Code had been generated when i clicked into FF, but can't display it and the "claim it" button stays

I wants to use it to make evil sidekick but CCP says "you are not allowed and we will block you"

"A Christmas surprise from CCP is waiting for you: One 60 Day Trial Key for you to do with as you please. Use it, share it with your friends, give it to soon-to-be EVE player you want by your side in times of trouble"

"While we appreciate your enthusiasm to try EVE, we would also appreciate if you could limit yourself to using a single trial or subscription accounts only."

Trebor. Please send me mail directly and let me see is something is afoot. We haven't errors like that so far.

Everyone with browser issues, please be sure to clear your cache. I got caught by the same thing, we had to deploy new code in Acct Management for these.

Yes, that is the same limitation as always with regards to paid accounts and trial accounts logged in on the same machine at the same time. That limitation has been there for years and will remain in place.

Could we have an educated answer here ^^^ prety please?
In other words could i have my brand new alt up and running for 90 regular (therefore no trial restrictions) gametime with a PLEX?

IF the above post looks bad the only thing to blame is my poor English spelling & vocabulary level(s)...

It's always worked that way. If you intend to "spend" a PLEX, you get an extra free 9 days out of this offer, rather than the existing infinite invite buddy program.

My initial reaction was pretty much the same. However, to give someone 51 days without limitations you need to know person you giving this invite pretty well not to screw each other. These codes you can give to complete strangers. And as i've found out there is significant demand for them. So, after thinking some more about this promotion, my opinion is CCP actually came up with another good idea for EVE. And its not like old invite scheme is going out, more options to try EVE is better.
