The only issue I have is the drastic change of Gallente and Caldari skins (Amarr and Minmatar still look fine) but when I fly my Gallente ship which is darkened now combined with flying in new darker nebulae it makes it more difficult to truly notice and appreciate the ship. Granted the changes look great when docked and there is enough adequate lighting. Other than that I appreciate the changes and found them most useful. Thanks!

Good Morning,
Thanks to CCP, very very wonderful expansion! Blink

My opinion about new Naga ship is that this ship is very usefull but needs a drone bay!
Is strange that a battlecruise class hasn't a drone bay... are very big ships! Big smile

Thanks, bye!

Hello,

first i'd like to say: GJ CPP!
Crucible turned out to be one of the best expansions ever.
Browsing the patchnotes, i could not believe the number of changes u made. Shocked
The game looks and feels absolutly awesome now... the new warp effect is my fav, do not EVER change it again! Big smile
Also the tier3 BCs are one intresting addition and will prolly bring some fresh wind into Eden.
Thank you very much for this!

There's just a few things that bother me...

Imho opinion, the Talos is OP.
With a balanced fit, it gets up to 1100 dps and 45k ehp.
It's also the only tier3 BC with drones, which give it a counter vs frigs.
It does have weaknesses, its speed and range, but this does not justify such a dps and tank (and drones).
I know that gallente are tradionally droneboats, so it makes kinda sense to give drones to the Talos.
But these tier3 BCs are one special concept... capable of dashing out immense dps at the expense of defence.
The Talos is not vulnerable enough. It should be made an exception for this ship class and the drones removed.
Another acceptable way is to give all the tier3 BCs a dronebay of 25m³... Talos can have 50m³...

Speaking of the Tornado, it's slightly UP.
It does have a great speed and range, but the dps is really too low compared to the other BCs.
Talos, 1100 dps, balanced.
Oracle, 1000 dps, balanced.
Naga, 1000 dps, balanced.
Torndado, 780 dps, kinda balanced (not easy to fit 2 gyros in 4 low slots - where u also want DC, TE and nano)
Its dps should be uped by 10%, that would be fair i guess.

The Oracle is well balanced imo, and it looks amazing. Big smile
The Naga is kinda useless compared to others... just give the ship missiles lol...

One last thing... i think the Dramiel's speed/agility was nerfed bit too hard...
It dropped from 6k to 5k... so that inties can catch it...
Why not buff the inties instead? So they actually become usefull in frig combat.
Generally, i would rather buff all frigs slightly (which are not OP), instead of nerfing the 'OP' ones.
So that we see some more frigs in 0.0 and low... really too much C and BC size...

I guess thats it...
Do you guys agree/disagree/care? Big smile
I'd like to hear some opinions on the ships.

Balboa, out.

Unexpected AWESOME found.

I just looked at a couple of planets in Planet Mode, where a blue hologram of the customs office is shown orbiting the planet and its orbit path is also visible.

So cloaked ships can't decloak other cloaked ships. I appreciate the reasons for that change.

Could it be time that deadspace signatures, the invisible wrecking rocks of space, also be changed so they do not decloak ships?

What is CCP's position on the accusations recently leveld by certain alliances that CSM The Mittani has used his position and the additional foreknowledge not announced pre-release to help line goonswarm's own pockets?

Would it please be possible for the 'agent missions' folder in the 'places' section of the 'people and places' pane to be made to auto-hide when empty?

As I understand it, user-generated bookmarks--sorry, locations--cannot be placed here, and it only becomes an extra piece of unconfigurable clutter, taking up a little bit more screen space, for anyone who uses locations regularly but never or rarely talks to an NPC agent.

All and all it seems ok besides some of the tweeking still NEEDS to be done.

One thing I don't care too much for is the change in the skills list that shows time to next level in 'months, days, hours, min.'.

Is that a 30 day month or a 31 day month?

If it's a 31 day month can I wait until Feb. to start traning so I can knock off a couple day of traning? Cool

Please just change it back to 'days, hours, min.'

Few minor complaints that are completely utterly overshadowed by the overall awesomeness of Crucible. Thanks, job well done.

Everything looks wonderful.

I would like to request however that we could have returned the audio que that signals when a mining cycle is complete?

Four complaints about ship aesthetics:

1.
The reflective ships don't change colour half as much in magnitude as they did pre-Crucible. Granted there is some change; you can see your ship in brown in Amarr space or dark red in the Minmatar region. But it isn't like it used to be; it looks like a whole phase of ambient lighting is gone when, pre-Crucible, the entire ship's lighting appeared to change colour when you landed in a system with a new background. Nowadays, if most of space is black, then most of your ship is just its plain colour apart from a smear of the nebula reflection itself.

The shiny ships now are just so much less interesting to look at. Everywhere you go they're just basically dark and black. And this isn't counting the drop in frequency of lighting change either. What little colour change there is, it's much less frequent now due to the nebulae only changing per region.

Here are some good examples of Crucible colouring: http://s884.photobucket.com/albums/ac47/DanOnTheCorner/Skinny/Darkness/Rubber%20darky/Lacking%20colour/?albumview=slideshow

Good luck achieving things like this (pre-Crucible): http://s884.photobucket.com/albums/ac47/DanOnTheCorner/Skinny/Darkness/Rubber%20darky/Good%20luck/?albumview=slideshow

2.
I also think the ships are too dark in general.
Not always, but the only exception seems to be when you're in a bright region, in a bright ship, lined up with the sun.

If not, then things are just over the edge of uncomfortable to look at. When the eye has a hard time making out details it expects to see it just doesn't feel fun; I want to play it less. Especially the shiny black Amarr ships again. They're just irritating to look at all the time, even in bright Amarr space. This seems to be compounded by the trend of the new skins to be darker yet again.

I understand that to some people it's cool to have ships lost in the blackness.

Screens of brightness/darkness:

3.
The reflections on the ship look scrappy and fuzzy now. I think this issue only applies to the ships with the really reflective hulls, but the difference pre- and post-Crucible is really noticeable. They appeared sleek and smooth before, really nice. Now they look rough. Only 1 screen because really you need to see the ships moving to notice properly.

http://i884.photobucket.com/albums/ac47/DanOnTheCorner/Skinny/Darkness/Rubber%20darky/Lacking%20colour/Image529.png

I guess this is something to do with the fact that the only colour that appears on the ship's hull is the image of the nebula, instead of an consistent ambient colour. My guess could be wrong though.

4. On the other hand, when there isn't anything being reflected, the ships look like rubber.

Screens of Anathema with nothing to reflect:
http://s884.photobucket.com/albums/ac47/DanOnTheCorner/Skinny/Darkness/Rubber%20darky/Plastic/?albumview=slideshow

So we get either scruffy reflections, or grey plastic, that's often too dark, and doesn't change for 10 jumps.

So CCP, I have one request that might solve all of these points. I am assuming the change in Crucible is mainly due to a phase of ambient lighting simply being removed. If I'm wrong oh well, but if I'm not then here's my suggestion:

1. Put back the ambient lightning so when there's no nebula on the ship's hull, there's still colour.
2. Hopefully you can somehow do that in a way that removes the plastic look as well.
3. Define the ambient lighting colour by the star, not the nebula.
4. Consider giving players a slider for this lighting, so those who like their disappearing ships can still have them.

I think applying an ambient light based on the star's colour instead of the background nebula would be fantastic because it would not only answer the points raised above, it would also be a great way to address the common complaint that we all know about the visuals being too repetitive due to Crucible's per-region nebulae. This is what I assumed would be the case before trying it on Sisi. What?

I'm having several visual issues shown in this screenshot.

  • Mining drone lasers show up once and then do not move with the mining drone
  • Targeting asteroids sometimes does not stop the targeting animation after they are targeted
  • Clicking on asteroids will show the roid name, but then clicking off leaves them selected and the name stays in space even after I leave the belt.

I'm also having the following other issues:

  • Industry tab does not show columns in the Blueprint Screen. BP stats only show up for some bps.
  • Unloading a mining crystal from a strip miner II then reloading shows Reload ([item].typeID.name). If I activate the miner without a crystal then stop it, it will show the name of the crystal I want with (used) after it. I'm noticing this with Pyroxeres II crystals
  • Orca pilot and I are in same corp and same fleet. I can put ore into the corp hanger and can right click to stack it. However, when I try to drop ore of the same type on ore of the same type in hanger I get this message: Notify You cannot put items into that container because it belongs to (orca pilot) and you are not in their fleet, their corporation or held in the highest personal standing by them.

Thank you CCP for a great expansion. Deployment seemed to go very well at least from my perspective.

Things I really like are

The short online time for POS modules. Maybe their was a reason for this back in the dim and distant past but I am heartily glad those coma inducing waits are over.

The new warp tunnel. The way space bends when warping through a planet is great. Before it just looked rubbish. Now the immersion of bending space time is excellent.

Good to have engine trails back and everyone loves new ships. Thanks for finally working on hybrids as well.

Now I am looking forward to some real content in regards station establishments.

Excellent job. You have my subs for the foreseeable future.

I think it's nice that it is possible to press the 'dock' or 'jump' buttons before being in range, with the result that the ship will warp or approach as appropriate. It would be handy with a small indicator on the button to show whether or not the ship is in range, since this is not indicated in any way now.

I'm not so fond of the similar functionality with the open wreck/container button, since attempting to open a container slightly out of range can result in an undesired course change.

I'd like to suggest that this behaviour can be configured, or that the autopilot only attempts to warp to but not approach an object that is out of range.
