New Ammo Typs

Dev Team is it possible to add new ammo ore add (Kinetic and Explosive) in to the game for example Crystals do EM ( 23 HP) and Thermal (13 HP) why not give Kinetic (10 HP) and Explosive (10 Hp) extra in to the Crystals ore new typ off Crystals that do Kinetic and Explosive ( same goes for all the ammo typs Hybrid Projectile ) Only the Hybrid Projectile do other Damage (Ammo typ)

I like PVE and i do missions but there is a little problem i face more ore less Angel Cartel ore Guristas in amarr space.
and we all now that EM and Thermal is 50% less DMG against Angel Cartel ore Guristas.

+ if we travle to other space like Caldari for a example EM is 90% it is useless agents Guristas
i now some off you will say go get a Raven it is true but that take time to flay and lvl up skills for the ship and missiles

i apologies for my bad spelling english i hope you understand what i meant.

u need to adapt. dnt pin urself to one weapon type.

get in a geddon, equip some missiles, rails or arties and use drones.

Even in a game that plays fast and loose with the laws of reality, explosive and kinetic damage types just don't fit in with lasers. The former requiring a chemical reaction, and the latter the force of a solid object moving at high speeds.

one of the primary points about lasers is they only deal EM/therm, just like hybrids only deal kin/therm

For posting an idea into F&I: come up with idea, try and think how people could abuse this, try to fix your idea - loop the process until you can't see how it could be abused, then post to the forums to let us figure out how to abuse it..... If your idea can be abused, it [u]WILL[/u] be.

In theory you could create a explosive effect with lasers by focussing several lasers on a single point where there is then a sudden spike in heat that makes whatever material exposed to it expand in an explosive fashion. Considering how precise such a focus point attack needs to be, the tracking on a explosive laser would be pretty crap.

thats still an "explosion" entirely dependent on the MATERIAL being HEATED, its not the lasers exploding, its the material they are hitting WITH HEAT.

So no, it is impossible, by basic physics and common sense, that lasers cannot do kinetic or explosive damage (well, photons have MASS, but its negligible enough to discount any form of kinetic attack)

Ok if the Kinetic and Explosive is no it is not possible in the Crystals why not Increase the Thermal for 50% = 80% that will fix it just a little bit

No, there is nothing to "fix a little bit". Your guns and your ammo are just fine, you're simply not using the correct ones in your specific situation. CCP isn't going to change the game because Phoenix22 couldn't be bothered to learn and adapt !

This has been suggested before and the flaw is: The major downside of lasers is their fixed damage type and cap use.

Getting rid of their fixed damage type would unbalance them compared to other weapon systems. They have superior tracking and and optimal compared to the other weapon systems (with great paper/applied DPS on omni tanked opponents).

First, let me nerd a little

Both of these are possible through the magic of Laz0rz! I won't get too technical but it is common practice to use lasers of the right intensity and frequency to cause the instant evaporation of objects. Evaporation is thermal, instant evaporation is an explosion, and many chemical explosives work this way on an atomic level also. Lasers have also been used to apply kinetic force to objects, pushing small aluminum ball bearings small distances. Both are possible, just incredibly impractical.

Now....

No, lasers do not need more damage types. It's one of the drawbacks that balances the weapon group. If you feel it is too inconvenient for your playstyle you should consider training a new group of weapons. Amarr has plenty of missile boats, and going full neuty hull is always great for everyone involved.

Your ships that you pilot now have advantages, and they have disadvantages. Learning what both the advantages and disadvantages are and then piloting your ship accordingly is part of what makes the game fun. Rock paper scissors gets alluded to a lot when these threads come up. I suggest you think upon that.
