EDIT: It appears that the Twitter account in question is unconfirmed as being owned by Gevlon and only has this single post, so it's probably fake. Furthermore, his blog makes no mention of going to fanfest whatsoever, and being the bragging type it is very unlikely that he would neglect to mention himself going.

If I would be working at CCP, I would find out where you have been the last week. I also see a ban coming, but it might just be yourself. What?

If someone needs to destroy something nice CCP has made, to make himself feel good, you seriously need professional help, ASAP !

Having not confirmed that the monument has legitimately been defaced, I can say that if it has it is an amazingly low act and we'll try to find out who is responsible. Hopefully this is just photoshopped or something and it won't be and that, if it is, we can repair any damage done.

Where's the Ripard Teg blog post calling this an act of torture and genocide?

Agreed this is low though. I'm glad it appears not to have actually been done by Mr Goblin, as if he had done this and was subsequently banhammered, EVE would lose a source of much comic relief.

There's EVERY likely hood twitter will help including handing over the associated IP number from that twitter post to at least the police and possibly CCP (which also gives CCP the option of legal action against said person)

I legitimately loathe and despise Xenuria as a person both in and out of game. But I still find it incomprehensible someone would do this.

Also, it's a pretty obvious framejob, nobody would be stupid enough to tie their name to this.

Pretty much this. While I have never heard of this guy before no one can prove it was his twitter account, and twitter isn't going to give up his personal information with-out a search warrant, and good luck getting one with the lack of proof in this case.

While I'm no space detective or anything the monument does look near impossible to find a specific name without using the http://eve.com/monument/name-finder/ to find the specific panel.

Surely a very small number of people actually searched for Xenuria prior to the tweet going out with the pic and the ip would potentially be connected to an active eve account and thus registered details.. yadaa yada yada

while I do agree, it is also true that there are stupid people in this planet.

who knows tho, it being done in a druken stupor is also a probability, but I am more inclined to the framejob too.

I have no opinion on Xenuria, never had any interactions with them.

But I think you underestimate the stupidity of some EVE players. It's probably a framejob, but as someone with a legendary history of ganking, I'm sure you have encountered some of this stupidity in the past.

CCP released an article confiming the Vandalizm. I made a snap Judgement on Gelvon and I apologize as I see the Twitter account was old I have spoking to some of my old contacts from 2010 and they both agree this would be out of character for him. However someone must have seen this person do it. GOOD LUCK CCP. Gives us the blinking red and we will pod him out of New Eden!!

Oh certainly, but the fact that the twitter account that posted the picture was brand new and made just for that post is a bit of a giveaway. Unless he was being legendarily devious and pointing the finger at himself to make everyone assume there is no way he would do such a thing... But that strikes me as unlikely.

Sadly it's just emblematic of a problem some folks have with separating game from reality. Same way some twits send death threats to people's houses over exploded pixelships.
