C5 escalation

I and my corp mates plan on moving into C5 and do escalation with 2 dread and 2 carrier.

I was lucky to see some guys in C5 doing sites in cap ships, their method was warping 1 carrier, 1 dread and 1 loki into sites, 14 sleeper BSes spawn.

I believe it is possible, what I want to ask is the fitting for dread to withstand the dps from 14 sleeper BSes.

first carrier spawns 6 guardians first dread spawns 6 guardians second carrier spanws 8 and second dread also 8.u´ll need a shitton of tank plus each guardians neutes like 1 and 1/2 heavy neut.needs painters and webs or the dread wont hit anything.better of with carrier in first some tengus along kill first wave then have the loki and bring dread kill.bring carrier kill, bring dread

thank you for your reply, I know the order of doing the escalation.

I want to now an example fit for dread and carrier that can tank the escalation.

I had a nice long post made up to reply... but the forums just ate it. I hate you new forums.

Now that that is out of the way, to answer your question. You honestly don't need to worry about tank on the dreadnought. I used the following moros fit, and only had to run my rep once... ever. And I did dozens of sites with it. It can easily tank a single escalation wave by itself, anything more is dps tanked. You have lots of buffer... and I really mean lots. If you have an armor fleet booster you can probably drop one of the EANM's, either for an explosive hardener or another magstab (your choice on which).

Use a friendly web loki to stop targets (they like to orbit at 37km) for your guns.

Best bet to get maximum dps on the field as fast as possible - warp in one triage carrier, then bring in the web loki and the first dread in to dps things down a bit. After about half the site is cleared, dps will be down enough to bring in additional dreads. Once things have calmed down a bit, bring in a second carrier to get the last escalation and you are good to go.

thanks fpr the info, Arazel.

I have another question, how long does it take for one dread to take down one sleeper BS??

There is no need to use dreads to kill the sleepers, warp one triage carrier in, I prefer a chimera, will give you a fit, then warp in your bs buddies to kill the spawn, mach's work well, but any bs with decent buffer and resists will work too.

Kill the first 6 guardians, now warp in your second triage carrier, kill that spawn, warp in a dread at 200k, pilot can swap back to a bs to help kill the spawn, once the third spawn is dead, you have to warp both dreads to the 200k bm to get the final spawn.

Damn near every c4+ fleet is going to have a dedicated loki webber, so there's no reason not to use the dreads to help kill.

I try to use dread because I want to minimize the amount of pilot needed.

dread without damage mod in siege can put out 4k dps with all level 4 skill, but of course need help from loki's web, and dread also has a lot of buffer.

I'll need 5 BSes to get equal amount of dps.

ive seen guys run them with this sort of setup

x2 Chimera's
x1 Vulture, for bonuses
x1 navy raven for torp dps.
x1 Vargur for salvageing/dps.
x1 Crane for transporting.
x1 Basillask for extra cap transfer to triage carrier.

one of the Chimera's of course has to be a Triage.

Why not move into a c6? :)
