Everyone will get 3 geckos to use.

What are geckos?

A Gecko is a super heavy drone that will take up 50mb and 50m3.

It packs the power of 2 heavy drones while having the speed of a fighter.

It does all 4 types of damage equally.

So what kind of fits would come into mind when you get your geckos?

incursion vindi and there stats are actually better than heavies

50mb bandwith
32 damage of each kind (128 damage complete 2 t2 ogres make only 96 base)
damage modifier is at 2.05 (ogre II at 1.85 or there about)
it will be the fastest heavy
it will have the 3rd best tracking (navy bersi and t2 bersi have better)

so hell yeah and ccp should let them drop in plexxes ftw ^^

Seagull made a vague reference in the live stream to players 'unlocking more of them.' So something's happening to get more out there.

I've been trying out different things with the gecko and it seems pretty damn powerful.

1 gecko does more damage than 2 heavy/sentry drones.

A rattlesnake is going to do 1100 DPS with just a single Gecko with 3 damage mods.

The Eos and Ishtar will enjoy these with the heavy drone tracking and speed bonus.

You can save 15 minutes and 15% on spaceship insurance by switching to Gecko.

Geckos do not get 2% damage per level that Tech 2 drones get. So the damage gap isn't quite as large.

That awkward moment at the Gentlemen's Club when you see your sister on the stage....and you're not sure where to put the money....

Rattlesnake Geckos will end up with some stupid amount of HP as well.

Small gangs with repair drones accompanying geckos may well be able to field them indefinitely.
