go fly a burst.P

CCP, there are off buttons for ship explosions, missile effects, turret effects, etc. "Immersion" does not seem to be harmed by those. So, please give us a persisting off button for the jump gate and autoscan visuals.

I love the new Moa design. No disrespect to past designers, but it's VERY evident based on the new ship designs in the last few years that the old design team has turned over. I like asymmetrical, sure. It's cool. But asymmetrical for the sake of being asymmetrical results in idiotic looking ships that make no sense practically or artistically.

I'm glad the old Moa died. Yes, it was iconic. But being iconic for being ugly isn't really fame. It's just nostalgia for a ship that people WISH they could fly, but it's too hideous to hit the "buy" button. The ship is now useable for people aesthetically minded. Not to mention it looks much more like a combat ship than the previously awkward design.

As for the Condor design, I think it looks good. That's one ship where the asymmetry kind of looked cool, but the new one looks cool as well. I like it either way.

The new condor hull looks too much like a fighter, and less like a distinct frigate to me.

And I'm -really- disappointed to see the Moa change. They could have touched it up, done lots of small tweaks to make it look better, but throwing away a unique design, in favour of almost complete asymmetry is not only a cop-out for the OCDs, but it doesn't make sense, given the lack of wind resistance in space. One of the few ship redesigns that I think was a mistake.

Less you forget smaller ships are fully capable of entering a planet's atmosphere, the old moa design would have meant a 1000% increase in fuel needed to fly lol

I personally am loving the new symmetry designs its one of the things that really erked me with Caldari, they are about as asymmetrical in subcaps as gallente, but when you get to captials: Chimera, Wyvern, Phoenix, Leviathan...all have symmetrical ships. It stands to reason a similar design would follow in terms of sub caps as well.

To be honest the people who do not like the change are just nostalgic about them. When it came to choosing the Caracal or Moa I always voted for Caracal simply because it didnt look like a Caldari attempt at building a Minmatar ship. However, I will most certainly be flying this new sexy beast now. Cool

I'm kind of disappointed with the new Moa, to be honest. Looks far too much like the Prophecy. Crow/raptor/condor? Spiffy. Typhoon? Actually pretty cool.

But really, the existance of the Orthus means I won't be without a Caldari-based faction ship I really enjoy the look of.

Hold up:

New Moa? Please tell me I'm not the only one who sees the faint resemblance.

Screw the Megathron..

Can i get a model of the Eagle before its changed? =<

I think its really ****** up that you decided to entirely remake that wonderful little ship instead of just giving it tiny tweaks.. Not everything needs to be symmetrical and pretty >=[

STOP MAKING CALDARI SYMMETRICAL >=[

Came here ready to rage about new Dominix model. Frankly, I can't. It's awesome.

It's still ugly, but a mean space-mace-in-yo-face-ugly. Not loveable-Aunt-Laverne-ugly like it was before.

I dig it. It now has the looks to go with its fearsome reputation. Good job CCP.

Now google on "star trek ships" or "sci fi ships" and look at the images results. There's a lot of a lot of things in the new Moa.

Symmetry is overrated. Those hulls lost their character.

What the hell is a Diminix Roll

I like it (the Domi). Like a Vexor that got sent to do some time in general population and came out looking like a body builder. It still looks fuggly, but now it's a good kind of fuggly.

"Tomahawks?"

"----in' A, right?"

"Trouble is, those things cost like a million and a half each."

"----, you pay me half that and I'll hump in some c4 and blow the ---- out of it my own damn self."

I seriously hope they never listen to you. Megathron has always been my favorite battleship hull. (Besides the pirate hulls Mach and Nightmare.)

They are all improvements.

I'm still a bit sad however. The god awful Golem isn't being changed (no surprise) :( When I see the Domi and compare it to the Golem, I can only think, "why ccp, why do you hate the Caldari?". Yes - there is the new moa. ... Will have to wait and see if it makes up for the Golem.

Once upon a time the Golem had a Raven hull and it looked good. Then it transformed into a plataduck. The end.

I disagree with the Moa changes, it was iconic because it was so ugly, they have ruined the identity of the ship by doing this. I grew to love the Moa despite people saying it's ugly. It seems CCP is all about appeasing the guys who are OCD about symmetry =/

All four redesigns are excellent, particularly the battleships, and the Dominix most of all. Those drone bays, that vintage warp spool, I may never need another ship.

Updating eye-catching, iconic ships like the Dominix and the typhoon changes the whole landscape of EVE for everyone. It makes me wonder what battleship should be next for a respectful reboot?

Tempest is pretty fugly. All of the Amarr ships are nice as are Gallente. Raven maybe? I like it as it is though.

Rupture, Celestis and Blackbird could all use some love. Although I agree all caldari ships don't need to be symmetrical.

Maelstrom. Though, to be honest, it's not as bad as some other ships (I'm looking at you, Blackbird).

To me "iconic because it was so ugly" is not a reason to keep the ship hideous. If it's universally understood to be ugly, then changing it to be less ugly shouldn't bother anyone.

Sure, it may have been iconic, but ugliness isn't a benchmark you wan't to be iconic for.
