Yeah, they announced that they were giving freighters the ability to fit modules and rigs. The thing that keeps people from simply repacking their carrier and putting it on a freighter to high sec is that the freighters have a cargo bay just SLIGHTLY smaller than a cap ship that's been repackaged. CCP noticed this fact during testing before introducing freighters, and removed all their slots (there being some particular reason that cap ships are packaged at the sizes they are) .

Effectively, there's nothing to stop you from simply freighting in your carrier now.

Likely it will be that a capital cannot be fitted inside a freighter but hopefully you can finally squeeze in all the parts for building a one.

thats going on the presumption that freighters will have a big enough hold via rigs/mods to jump them into high via gates........wont happen imo.



Their cargo holds are almost big enough now with no expanders.


so either you make them not able to fit expanders, or you nerf the original hold so much that even with expanders they wont carry them.

Even I dont think CCP are stupid enough to let Caps into high.


So if I want to tank my frieghter with rigs I get **** cargo space because I can't reach the original cargo space, I see your logic going where...!

Lady Areola Fappington:  Solo PVP isn't dead!  You just need to make sure you have your booster, remote rep, cyno, and emergency Falcon alts logged in and ready before you do any solo PVPing.

let's not forget two other issues with this:

so IMAO, the following should be changed:

1- bump repackaged size of caps (including rorqual) to 2 000 000 m3
2- bump ORCA repackaged size to 1 000 000 m3 (so it can still fit in freighters but not in JF)
3- bump station EGG to 1 000 000 m3

ps: those numbers are based on the idea that freighter are given 3 rig slot and JF 2, and that CCP wants to keep the current limitation

I'm extremely exited about this Kronos expansion. It is the most interesting update ever for EVE online.

Reasons for this excitements:

1. There has been major bottleneck in EVE economy that concerns researching and copying blueprints. Old capsuleers have filled all public research/copy slots and new capsuleer have been unable to access them. This is going to change now. I'm interested to see what kind of impact this has to EVE economy.

2. New expedition frigate. Lots of people want to do solo mining in dangerous territory and this has been impossible to this point. This new cloaky mining frigate is the best chance for this. Space the final frontier... and here we come.
