its extremely funny.
they are essentially saying "stop playing games on your kids console and get a pc", you know like an adult would have.

So in real life you would go to an co-worker who is not in your department of the company who has just been told he basically gets fired in 2 months and laugh at him? No, you wouldn´t. You Sir are just a modern internet tough guy. Pathetic.

I for myself grew up with the NES, the Gameboy and such, which are consoles. Today i own a XBOX 360 to be able to casually hang out on the couch , play with friends who came over, play a little bit of halo if i am in the mood. Does that make me a kid? Of course not, sure, there are a lot of kids these days who own a console and play CoD BF and such, but at the same time there are just as many kids play Dota, LoL , CoD, BF and even EVE on the PC. So what is your point? A new console costs about 400-500 bucks, a decent PC who can run modern games is in the same price league.

I hate that I'm going to have to deal with people like you in legion.... Some people don't want to game on their computers because
A.) Its very expensive for a good rig (even if your making your own)
B.) Windows sucks
C.) Issues like the launcher failing among other bugs

With consoles its easy, push a button, play the game. Some people don't have the time or money to get into a game like eve, even if they like the universe.

They should have told everyone dust was dead before fan fest and advertised the legion keynote. Rather than hyping up dust fan fest and then crushing their hopes, I know there are a lot of messed up people here but damn...that's cold...

you always had to deal with people "like me".

A.) no it is not.
B.) very true but its a lot better than the sony ui
C.)that is such a non issue

While I look forward to playing Legion, I have to wonder why CCP failed to heed the advice given to them by CSM (and probably by CPM as well). This reveal and Dust community have been handled in extremely incompetent manner. Whoever decided that this is the way to do it all should be moved to other duties, for PR is certainly not part of their skillset.

So you predict CCP showing support for DUST and Legion to coexist next to each other in the long run?
OK.

Have they explicitly stated that they will not?
cos from where im standing its business as usual,
barring the fact i'm wearing welly boots for the deluge of tears because legion isn't coming to a console from the last decade

Who gives a ****?

CCP have no creditibility in the field of FPS, they have constantly failed with customer expectation, they have no idea how to balance and their timetable for content release is hilarious.

Legion will be a shiny Dust, but you cant polish a turd so good luck with that.

The DUST 514 PR is taken care of by Mintchip. This was the girl who just a week before being hired by CCP, would not stop bashing EVE and saying how much CCP was a horrible company, while at the same time trying to get neckbeards to buy her things from her amazon wishlist. This seems wholly in line with hiring someone so inexperienced and outright bad for a PR role.

Bad choices by CCP aside, yes it is a PR nightmare and I hear from some posts that sony is even reimbursing recent "arum" purchases due to this whole issue? If so, that's pretty impressive since Sony takes a really hard line on refunds and usually just says tough luck.

Mintchip was never "PR" and doesn't work for CCP anymore. If you're going to be abusive, at least check your facts.

Fixed that for you.

Going by the numbers of folk playing DUST, very, very few people care about the game.

However, having said that, a version of it on the pc is a brave move to raise the dead on the part of CCP.

There are already more people in this thread saying they will play Legion, than there are Dust players. Smile

Maybe, but you should never expect an EVE player to keep his word. Blink

I would play Legion, and I don't even really like FPSs anymore.

I have always assumed that the 514 part of the games name was a reference to the number of folk who play it on a semi regular basis. Smile
