i've liked this idea for years and i'll support it till the cows come home and wouldn't mind seeing it come up twice a week but ccp are mean and won't let us have it :(

As for OP.... +1 for sure

On a somewhat related note: I had a thought that maybe the "Evasive Maneuvering" skill would actually apply evasive maneuvers to your flight path if you're making a tactical movement instead of burning in to close range. So, hypothetically, your flight computer would make evasive maneuvers which would have a chance to mitigate a percentage of incoming damage part of the time while you orbit in an erratic manner. Your skill level wouldn't determine the damage mitigation, rather it would determine the effect it has on your own weapon tracking. Or possibly a scripted slot that every ship has by default and you choose the script you use.

Love the idea i have been playing KSP recently and was just thinking the same thing. This could be a great additing to the game +1 for sure. However i will also state the i would like to see CCP work more on issues that are already in-game before new content

I like it! Makes sense to have a better control of our ships; after all, they're wired to our brains!

This would really help every player, I'm sure. PVP, PVE, mining, trading, hauling... We all pilot ships!

this would be lovely - +1 - means I can avoid all those pesky LCO's or that station.... or even those asteroids......

and while we're at it - a more sensible adjustment of orbit path would be lovely

For posting an idea into F&I: come up with idea, try and think how people could abuse this, try to fix your idea - loop the process until you can't see how it could be abused, then post to the forums to let us figure out how to abuse it..... If your idea can be abused, it [u]WILL[/u] be.

I like your idea very much. Hate when my ship accidentally bumped by a gate or station or some random object when I'm orbiting my prey... Players should be allowed to choose the angle of the orbit.
