Developers who delete feedback are usually scammers. And when i think back to the recent Plex sales and options to use them i believe something fishy is going on in eve.

Think about what happend with dust:
-they get motivated to spend money and then a few months later they get screwed over HARD.

Whats happening in eve:
-CCP motivates the community to buy plex which can be converted into AUR, additional trainain que etc. so that we can get the hands on the new ships which have beeing reskinned. Dont know about you guys but i feel worried that CCP could pull off another stunt like they did with Dust.

Heh.

CCP finally realises "Eve players who own a PC" is a larger number than "Eve players who own a PS3"

If they don't change the core gameplay I still think it will flop; the game has serious issues. I will however give it a try.

Seems to be a massive business mistake to me. Even if their new playerbase is larger this will damage their reputation severely.

Enjoying the rain today? ;)

What damaged CCP reputation has doing a stupid console game, they are now fixing the problem.

Fixing by what? Putting another generic shoter on PC? Yeah well done. Crysis 1 looks better on PS3 then Dust/Legion does on PC. And i highly doubt that there will be enough players to fill all off the Eve universe battlefields. Just look at null sov as it is now, sure large alliances hold the biggest chunk of it but the population density is thinner then a piece of paper. Have fun playing 1vs1 matches cause thats all there is to it, if you are lucky.

And we still dont know about the buisness modell so far. What happends if Legion and Eve share the same subscription method and you can keep playing by buying plex? If that happends plex prices will explode beyond the 2bill mark.

Eve is still very much a niche game, legion might be more mainstream, it might bring people to both games.

Dumbing down of Eve Online will result in it's destruction...

Please explain how exactly? Does this legion have spaceship dogfighting and 150 detailed worlds you can land on and walk upon? Does it have zero-g firefights and ship boarding. Nope. Don't think so.

Neither does Star Citizen.

I can venture a guess which one is more likely to be playable first however.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

Though i never played DUST (due to the fact that it´s PS3 only), i feel sorry for these guys.

If your beloved game gets somewhat dumped (though it has not officially been said that this is case, but come on CCP wont support a dead horse) its harsh and not that easy to take, but if you actually went to fanfest as a DUST player, excited for the keynote presentation and then get THAT much screwed over, its brutal imho.

I totally get the DUST guys, why they are upset and frustrated. I dont get all of those sad people here in this thread, who are enjoying those "delicous tears". What kind of a person do you have to be to enjoy the sheer disappointment of others. Its like enjoying to see the news when poor guys at a warzone are showed, suffering from the recent events. Its just pathetic and awful to enjoy this. You may come now with the only statement you have "LOLOL relax brah itz only a game..zomg!!". You are right about that. But those games are considered a hobby within the whole community and therefor costs real life money, real life time and brings up real life emotions and feelings. So basically your not just enjoying the delicous tears of a random anonym gamer you are not even remotely related to, you are enjoying the tears of a real person, with real emotions , real feelings and a real passion about his/her game who happens to be a part of the same community YOU are in.

Funny thing is, in this very thread some guys get offended when they are described as "neckbears living at their moms basement", but at the same time claiming Dust players are only stupid little kids that depend on their gradmas wallet to buy games, and then think they won that discussion with it. Pathetic.

Dont get me wrong (ofc some will for the reasons above), i really enjoy to see DUST/Legion coming to the PC where it should have been released in the first place, i just dont (and cant) enjoy how a part of our community gets treated at fanfest (and in general) by the devs and then even get mocked by another part of the community for beeing screwed over.

No.

lol you are delusional. Go ahead and fly trough nullsec and count the people living there. Its not that hard to do cause most systems are empty. And ya know why they are empty? Because Eve is lacking the playerbase to fill them. You are the prime example of a CCP fanboy.

Maybe but on the other hand i think the eve universe is too big for the small playerbase we have at the moment. Just look around in nullsec, its like wandering trough a desert and here and there you find a oasis but thats it. We have highsec, lowsec, nullsec and wormholes. We have more recources to farm then there is players to do it.

IMO, they did the damage when they got into bed with a console company and then left EVE to rot.

They've canned projects before, and no doubt will again... but at least now we're going to see the merit of putting more of the EVE universe back on PC where, again IMO, it belongs.

YMMV.

What's wrong, did someone steal their sweetroll?
CCP has plans to keep developing Dust. The reaction is abserd. Why should I feel sorry for them?
Sounds like a pitty pot surrounded by drama queens going on.

I like this change.

Firstly the game looks 10x better than it did on the PS3, so basically it looks like it is at the standard of graphical quality which is expected from a modern game.

Secondly, Dust may actually become relevant now, as people can tab between the eve and dust client. I think that will add a lot of options. And hopefully eve and dust will be become more integrated.

The way I see Dust is not so much as a proper standalone game, but more a fun mini game to be played alongside eve if you just want a bit of fast paced fps action while you wait for your grand plan to unfold in the wider eve universe.

I do wonder what is happening to the ps3 game now though. Not that I really care either way.

I hate that I'm going to have to deal with people like you in legion.... Some people don't want to game on their computers because
A.) Its very expensive for a good rig (even if your making your own)
B.) Windows sucks
C.) Issues like the launcher failing among other bugs

With consoles its easy, push a button, play the game. Some people don't have the time or money to get into a game like eve, even if they like the universe.

They should have told everyone dust was dead before fan fest and advertised the legion keynote. Rather than hyping up dust fan fest and then crushing their hopes, I know there are a lot of messed up people here but damn...that's cold...
