Hi guys, i would like to know... did your game crash sometime when your in a gas site?

Because i had some connection issue last month, and crashed with my vargur on field and died. Now that my connection issue are fixed, i don't ******* anderstand why i can stay in jita burn all the weekend without crashing, but ooops im in vargur in a gas site ALONE in a lost wh and... crash. Another vargur dead.

Maybe im not alone with that problem. It was a really good way to make my money, and now... I just can't do it.

Dunno if it still exists but there was a problem with nVidia cards and the game on recent drivers where in fullscreen mode it would eat up all your VRAM and crash - I had to put my clients into borderless window mode so it didn't keep happening and not investigated since if its fixed.

nah i cleared a fuckin lots of gas site with my vargur,, but 2 time had crash in it (like im full shield, game freeze and say : CCP exfile stop working... and my game close. when i log on, im in pod)
Im not crying about a loss....i don't care if i can get my money back or not. But i want to know if it will happen again, if all skills that i did with my characters to do that was for nothing, you know?

Do you have more useless comment ?

And Rroff : i was not fullscreen, but had 3 accounts log in (with the vargur)... Maybe its from that, but it should not because like i said, i don't crash in burn jita and in big fight full of TIDI

Gas clouds all over new Eden are very gfx intensive. This has been a long standing issue. I believe I read one of the devs state that this was the issue why she does not ever add clouds to things she builds in Eve (might have been CCP Karkur).

I had a crashing issue as well with Eve in general stemming from a heat damaged part on my motherboard all the way back from incarna. Just replaced it finally a couple weeks back and no crashing since.

To op, perhaps you have some heat damage on one of your components that is causing issues. Try monitoring temps while in gas sites. Also try reducing the number of clients running while testing to narrow the potential causes.

Nor did I, and he probably isn't either. Incarna did some bad things to a not insignificant number of people's hardware. In my case it was a heat damaged motherboard. My computer went from being 3-client stable with max settings, prior to Incarna, to 1-client guaranteed crashing (BSOD) in EVE (random times but guaranteed to happen in every session) and it made no difference what gfx settings used. Also began crashing (BSOD), randomly, in other graphically intense applications.

RMA'd Video card - replacement made no difference
Replaced RAM from working spares - no change
Replaced HDD from working spares - no change
Finally bought a new motherboard - resolved (with exact same previous hardware)

So it's not always a problem with under-powered hardware. Sometimes it definitely the way in which CCP implements things in their gfx engine that doesn't play well with certain hardware configurations.

No its not hard, but why should i change ship and wait friends? I can solo in vargur, its good money solo, the ship do the work quick and can go in our static. (thats why dread is impossible) If its from CCP, or if its from the fact that i had 3 clients oppen (2 alts) or something like that, good. I did skills for that, i buyed ship for that, i have no problem with my PC... Its just a waste of Sp and isk if i can't find why it happen

Let's be clear about something. Describe how things went down, because I'm starting to sniff a disconnect rather than a crash.

Well, at a moment the game stop (NPC stop firing, shield boost run forever) and then the game crash (only 2 of my character, on the field and the onther was link in systeme) so the game close, but my third one and teamspeak still run, so its not the connection

Well, if your shield booster runs forever, then it's a disconnect, not a crash. Disconnecting doesn't necessarily mean that your internet shut down, and that all of your net services will stop.

I've had 1 out of 5 simultaneous clients disconnect, while the other 4 were unaffected.

What you could try is to run a traceroute to the game's server and see if there are any laggy routers between you and the server.

Also, this is not CCP's fault, nor yours (unless you discover that it is indeed the last router/server in the chain the one that is lagging, or you discover that it's your own hardware to be at fault).

But if its from internet, why im not lagging in heavy TIDI with 2000 players in local and 3 clients open? I though it was a proof that its not my internet, but maybe im wrong

If you can't explain the crash, it might be worth a petition. If CCP has logs showing that their servers dropped you, and that it wasn't your fault, you can get your stuff back.

Yeah, well, it's just like my opinion, man.
