Is there a 'free' option to see some of the fanfest presentations ?

I just went to twitch and they want $20 for the HD version or $4.95 a month for a subscription???? wth CCP


I can't watch the live presentations during the week as on the west coast of Canada your on during work hours, but then the only option to watch when i get home is two pay options?

I can see you charging for an HD package with goodies, but there should be something for us poor folks who are not going to get to watch live.

I ordered the live stream but cant watch it because of work. Can anyone tell me where to go to watch the replays of today fanfest videos?

You can wait a few days to a week for them to appear on youtube.

The Fanfest videos will be up publicly on YouTube Soon™. I believe the time figure is a week or so. In the meantime the only way to watch it free is to watch it live.

I'm pretty disappointed

I can't afford to play the HD stream 'cos my net costs a lot per megabyte. The stream runs at a time where I'd prefer to sleep, and I don't want to buy the subscription (since I don't want HD and I'd have to sign up to twitch as well) just to watch replays on 'mobile' quality.

In contrast to Fanfest two years ago, where CCP ran a second stream 12 hours after the live stream, it feels like a cashgrab. Taking away options so you can charge for them.

There are instructions on how to apply the voucher code to your Twitch account. Once you do that, you can go to http://www.twitch.tv/ccp/profile to find the videos (highlights).

Streaming costs money, CCP is a company and so is the providers of the stream. Not surprising they charge for it now. At least they don't have EveTv anymore, that was a money pit if ever there was one.

they've always charged for the HD stream, i don't think anyone has a problem with that

log into twitch. find the ccp channel, make sure you are subscribed, where the chat is you will see a tab that says 'video's' fan fest day one should be the top two videos. select and hit play. Enjoy what you missed.

Quite frankly, not sure it's worth the $19.95 USD this year. The bandwidth on this Stream, to my location at least, is terribly slow. I'm forced to watch it in med-low otherwise it'll constantly freeze for minutes at a time. To the point where it's taken over 2 hours to watch a 57 minute video...

Never had this issue in the previous years. Cry

i had two buffers while at work, lasted maybe 20 seconds, but then again i forgot to activate the hd stream like a dumbass

can anyone confirm about access playback videos (that appear on the right hand side of the live stream page)

Im hoping to buy the live stream to watch when i can tonight, but as we are about 12hours ahead its at a pretty bad time for me, so i wont be able to stay up all night.

Basically i just want to know if i buy the live stream pass will it give me the playback videos as well, or do i have to buy the seperate $5 monthly subscription for that?

Yes you can watch the recordings with the stream pass from the account management pages.
There were a lot of production issues with the sound yesterday but hopefully things will improve today and tomorrow.

The videos on the main CCP twitch page are not the actually livestream 4 to 5 hour replay videos, there the highlights. On the main CCP twitch page click on the upper left link that says ccpsubscribers. That takes you to the subscribers page with the real replay videos. Should be 4 to 5 hours long. I had to watch them after work and took me forever to find it.

I am probably too dense to take advantage of HF stream I bought but those highlights looks basically as every session I saw yesterday in those big 4/5 hour long recordings. So what exactly did I gain by buying HD stream? The fact that I had access to those big recordings before they cut them into highlights or...?

That is serious question, I never had HD stream before not to mention twitch account so I wouldn't be surprised if I just totally missed something awesome.
