CCP, When Can I Pay For Remap of Skills

Actually I won't bother about remaps, CCP should just remove attributes, they don't add to the game. They arleady removed learning skills. So I ask why keep attributes? One remap every year, that's pathetic game mechanics, and won't bind players to the game.

Odyssey: Repacking in POS hangars for modules +1,  but please for other stuff too, especially containers. Make containers openable in POS hangars.

Attributes, learning implants, jump clone timers...

Their connection? They're all arbitrary barriers to fun.

Zagdul I think Hikaru's answer was on point. You started off by saying "messed up accidentally." I don't think you can convince anyone that you accidentally trained 20m SP. You changed your argument.

Re-allocating SP in hindsight is the same as escaping the time required to train what you would re-allocate to. Definitely beneficial to you. Whether this is good or bad for the game is something I'm not going to try to answer, but I do compare it to the real life analogy of "You can't turn your 3 years of psychology study into 3 years of chemistry skill."

Divide the topic into 2 parts.
· One part is the idea of re-allocating SP. This is a positive to all players individually, but is it a positive or negative to the game?
· The other part is paying to do this, because then it definitely becomes P2W. This I am against.

The first part is worth debating, but it would need to be implemented in a way that avoids P2W before being considered at all. Difficult because everything is ISK and thus everything is buyable with real money.

Here is the one idea I can think of: if you want to re-allocate SP, you have to fight another player from a pool of players trying the same. An agent does the re-allocation, it's not meta-game. That agent defines the terms of the engagement, he selects which players to matchmake, with hull and mod restrictions affected by the amount of SP you seek to move. Only the winner gets to do it. The loser has to come back in a week. A lot of fleshing out is required but that's an example of allowing the idea of SP relocation that works to avoid P2W. As a light backup, make it cost ten times as much ISK to apply for as the last time you won your fight.

But honestly, as Seleia has said, the attributes and remapping feature of Eve hardly constitutes gameplay anyway. I'd happily look at big alternatives to that aspect of the game before remapping attribs/SP.

Besides now I'm more interested in this trophy fighting idea I just mentioned. :D That's too large a system to introduce just for remapping anyway.

When can we pay for remaps?

Hopefully never

A small remap of 50 to 100k I would like just to clear up some of the crap I was saddled with at character creation on my older characters.

Else I would like the option to simply delete skills as I see fit with no remap whatsoever. There is stuff on my skill sheets that I simply don't want.

They're my skills. I should have the option of deleting them if I wish. Again, that's delete. No refund. No remap. Just erase what I don't want.

Mr Epeen Cool

Get killed a few times in an non-upgraded pod... Skills gone, simple...

Also, just hide your certificates. No one has to see what you skilled so you dont have to be ashamed of those harmless skillpoints.

This must be the most idiotic "request" ever... The deletion of skills cuz i dont want them.

I didn't know this.

When did this happen?

"Nay," responded Kurama Bingyi, "to crush your enemies, to see them fall at your feet - to take their horses and goods and hear the lamentation of their women. That is best."

FFS, no.

Bad troll, bad! Back to your bridge.

De'Veldrin's Corollary (to Malcanis' Law): Any idea that seeks to limit the ability of a large nullsec bloc to do something in the name of allowing more small groups into sov null will inevitably make it that much harder for small groups to enter sov null.

Get rid of learning implants and add +5 to every attribute on every character. Seriously.

Bu but what about all the time and effort I spent grinding for ISK to buy my +5 set and all the time I spent training at 1500 sp/hour? Straight

IT HAS TO KEEP VALUE OR ELSE THIS GAME IS UNFAIR

My first reaction is "NO!"

Then I realize that you can buy a 40m SP char for 7-10bil, specced to whatever you desire.

Gallente the new FOTY and you trained Amarr/Minmatar? No worries just get some PLEX and buy a character that can fly all Gallente and Caldari ships with hybrids.

It's MUCH more gamebreaking than once a year allowing people to "trade in" 100k-500k SP or so.

I mean this char has 25m SP, I have another with more than twice that. Half a million SP won't change much but maybe one large skill.

Having it a NeX feature though... now that I don't support or having it a pay-to-do feature. I think of it more along the lines of cleaning out old crap.

And remember: All the SP in the world won't make you a better pilot, only experience will.
