I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but I haven't backed your kickstarter. The reason for this is I heavily disapprove of kickstarter on the grounds that so many projects just swallow up people's money.

However, if this book is produced and sold, I will definitely purchase a copy of it.

I think the massive amounts of hype and money thrown at certain other internet spaceship related projects without reasonable expectations of delivery have left a sour taste in many peoples mouths regarding kickstarter.

But I'm glad this book is being made and I will buy it. Smile

Sorry for the delayed reply, all. It's been a crazy week as this project just passed 300% in under a week. Keeping up with it is more than a full-time job.

Thanks for unlocking the thread, LoF. If it matters at all, I actually wasn't the one to post the link.

I don't take it the wrong way. I fully understand and appreciate the concerns that people have with Kickstarter, and I don't blame you. That said, I obviously hope I can convince you to become a backer before the end of the campaign. And if not, then I'll work hard to make sure the final version is something you'll find worthy of picking up. :-)

I'm already hearing from a ton of people who I had trouble contacting previously, and now have interviews-at-a-later-date scheduled with SirMolle, Kugutsumen, MisterVee, Darius JOHNSON, delegates from the Russian factions, and reps from half a dozen other major nullsec groups past/present like IAC, Curse, and -A-. Really excited to dive back into interviewing and research.

I'm interested to see the take on the FIX alliance... since I was part of it (not a big part like others out there) from the beginning I want to see how the info is reported.

Many know the true story but then many others painted FIX alliance in a different light.... I want to see which way it goes.

Eterne unlocked it, not me, but sure, I'll take the credit. Big smile Good luck with the book!

It won't be a "take on", it will be as unbiased as possible depending on what info is available and which people we can get a hold of. The more interviews and other sources are available, the closer to the truth Andrew can get.

If you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all...

And its not just a hard cover on the original version. It's larger format, with space for extra content, like asides, backstories, cool tangents and so on.

Not surprisingly, the total has swiftly cruised past 500% of the original target.

Andrew has now brought on board four team members: two editors, a designer and an artist. Shocked I really hope his project- and people-management skills match his writing and research talents.

Less than 3 days to go on this kickstarter. As of now, about 730 have pledged for the hardcover, which means it will be about twice as rare as EVE Source: Limited Edition, and only a third of the price. Blink
