Obviously there will the HD stream available for the price of a flex, but will there be a lower resolution version available for free as in previous years?

Secondly if there is a lower quality feed, just what does the HD stream offer extra apart from the HD? will there be extra content available? And who will be providing the streaming services? Not Twitch i would hope given the way their streams constantly buffer and lag with less than a hundred people watching a stream?

There was a non-HD stream last year. It will be Twitch. Twitch has worked fine with way way more than 100 people watching.

Thnx all.

Afraid it often doesn't, try watching some of the more popular wow streams even when they start up with viewers in the tens you often cannot get a stream that doesn't constantly buffer or time out and anything after 7pm the stream often will not even load. Despite having a 75 meg download speed 18 up and an 18 ms ping.

Unless you like hours and hours of repetitve commentary on any given topic, and some people do, you could just wait a week or two for the broadcasts to be archived, appear on various sites, etc.

Aye likely what i'll do, as it doesn't really seem to offer that much more for the price of a flex tbh.

Quafe T-Shirt, Ship skins, and other "yeah, I paid for fanfest" goodies (albeit, not as nice as what people attending FF get). Could probably sell the stuff ingame to recoup the PLEX.

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

Honestly, there are tonnes of streams, some special ones, get even upwards of many thousand viewers, I never have this problem.
My speed is slower than yours, could be a number of reasons why its not working for you, but Twitch having a bad service is not one of em.

What is this flex he talks about?
Where can I buy it?
How much does it cost?
Do I have to be a gold account holder to get one?
Can I use flex for other services?

WHY IS THERE NO DEVBLOGS AVAILABLE TO EXPLAIN THIS!!!?!?!??!?!111!?!!!!oneoneone
(but there's a devblog explaining the perks of buying the HD stream.)

The symphony broadcast was amazing last year, an awesome highlight for those of us who miss the JUKEBOX. Evil

This year, no Soundwave.

And I've been to Iceland in the past -- great hiking and climbing, awesome people.

Suffice to say I'll just catch the truly useful 2 or 3 minutes of highlights some other time.

Sorry, but the problem is you. Quite literally millions of people are doing what you claim is impossible right this very moment. If it happens across all devices it is your ISP doing traffic shaping (use a VPN); if it just happens on the one machine you might want to try fixing flash.

Given you give a time of day this happens, odds are you are being traffic managed by your ISP.

As a Ghetto-fix, twich streams break every 30minutes. If the person you are watching has auto-archiving set (and CCP does) you can simply start watching the VOD on a 30min delay. The first 20mins of a CCP stream is usually a placeholder anyway, so you should stay like 10mins behind.

"Do not touch anything unnecessarily. Beware of pretty girls in dance halls and parks who may be spies, as well as bicycles, revolvers, uniforms, arms, dead horses, and men lying on roads -- they are not there accidentally." -Soviet infantry manual,

Fanfest stream?

Is that when all the devs take a leak on stage? Ugh

Vods will be subscribers (plex) only until they are uploaded to Youtube. Another thing that wasnt mentioned is that subscriber only chat mode will be turned on so if you want to spam le ebin copypasta you have to pay a plex to do so.

+1 on twitch working fine though, the service is completely flawless for me, both on my previous 15/2.5 connection and my new 100/100 connection. Definitely miles better than the own3d.tv stream that CCP used for New Eden Open 1 (and Fanfest 2012?) which was a heap of trouble for me.

I did not realize that you had to buy the HD stream to watch it on Twitch at all. Was it that way last year?

I did not get the HD as I would be at work every day and could not watch it live anyway. Any info on when they will start hitting youtube? Is it days or weeks?
