Fleet Sec Status Grinding BUG??? DEV please Advise.

My mates and I were going around shooting battleships in belts for some sec status gain, and we noticed only ONE OF US got the sec gain for shooting at the battleship after 15 minutes (most damage? final blow? not sure).

It was definitely ONLY ONE OF US that got sec status for one ship... when in the past we've been able to make sec grind more fun by flying out together and looking for fights and gain sec status (really pathetic amounts in the big picture every 15 minutes)...

Any other Low Sec Dwellers notice this??

IIRC this was judged an exploit and fixed. There's a dev blog or a blue bars post around here something talking about it, but I'm not going looking for it for you. :P

So who is supposed to get the security status? Final blow or most damage dealt?

I did a search on the forum for "Security Status" but didn't find anything relevant.

See, now just splitting the gain like they do with standing increases would have made more sense. Maybe. One of the things I used to do was to stick a tp on a vigil that I used for ninja salvaging. Dropped my sec more than I wanted? Switch to probing down mission runners, aggro the highest value BS in their mission with the TP and steal some loot and salvage their wrecks. Even if they didn't attempt to punish me at least I was getting some sec back as well.

You can tell it's a while since I did this because of my lack of knowing it had already been changed Sad

Anyone else notice this problem?

That's not so much a nerf as it is fixing a feature.

If multiple people shoot an Amarr NPC, only one person loses Amarr Standing? Uh, no, that sounds as wrong as shooting a Pirate NPC means only one person gets a Sec Gain.

There must be a bug with the Standings system.

Sec Gains and Rat Losses don't match

If you look on my left you'll see I was gaining Sec status from shooting rats and there is no sec loss in my Blood Raiders Standing on the right for aggression.

I only have Blood Raider rats and haven't shot up any other rats since.

We are not getting Security Status gain from being in the same fleet while out ratting. Only ONE PERSON (random it seems) is getting the sec status from killing that rat in the 15 minute time frame (Time frame seems to be irregular too).

If we drop fleet and rat individually we get regular security gain.

This is pretty regular and we have tested this thoroughly. Petitions are in now that we confirmed the bug.

I can post pictures of the problem from the fleets security status gains if necessary.

Hey Devs, can we get a "this is a bug", "we are investigating" or a "this is working as expected" message so we know?

This is still happening - it has nothing to do with being in or out of fleet.

I filed a petition that told me to file a bug report.

I've had it confirmed from multiple people, can I get some response? The Bug Report hasn't been touched in OVER 30 days.

I'm surprised, quite frankly, that they even let us regain security status at all anymore.

Did you know the Angel and Sansha rats in Worlds Collide level 4 have been purposefully neutered so that they don't provide any security gains of any kind, either? True story.

One wonders what's so special about these specific rats, canonically, that could explain such utter malarkey. One also wonders how a bug report can go unanswered twenty days in a game where one is beholden to pay for one's game access.

You live in LS, and grind you sec status in fleets, while looking for more fights?

Idk if I actually need to point this out. But grinding sec status in LS and then going right back into a fight is about pointless. The sec status gains in LS are so small that one ship kill will outweigh hours of ratting in LS...

You get the kill. You get the status. To share the status, share the kills. Also, for each player, only one NPC in a system every five minutes counts. It doesn't matter how many you shoot total. Only the highest will register.

Paradise is like where you are right now, only much, much better.

Not working.

Been playing this game since 2005, I think I'd know how sec status sharing would work, it isn't and confirmed by multiple people.

This

I've petitioned a similar issue where I wasn't getting any increase to my sec status when a GM pointed out that I can only get a standing raise from the highest rat every 15 mins. That was almost few years ago. Of course, 2 years is enough time for CCP to make changes to it.

i am sitting on the edge of POS in my archon with 10 assigned fighters to 2 friend tengus , i gived each one of them 5 .

I didnt get any isk bounty. Not even one isk.
I did get my sec status increase.

not sure how this can be of help to you , but i srsly doubt that 5 of my fighters dealt more damage to the rats than tengu . I think its last hit in my opinion.

You need to be on grid to receive bounty or sec status.....
