Really awesome.

I am here nearly from start , with long breaks here and there, and im no bittervet, im more like a bright vet:)

Hmm read some of prev posts, so no stations?Sad

Well some form of reward would be nice even something that requires much less work, a medal on the portriat, a chat channel only accecible to such old characters so we can reminiscent old times:).

Quoting this post for context.

Back when it was made, development were looking into how to do this, and the time it would take vs the overall level of engagement that would come out of it.

It's been decided by our Development team that a Station is not the best use of resources.

That said, there'll be more information regarding this at the EVE & DUST Community Panel at Fanfest, as well as some time where we'll be discussing the idea of rewarding our long standing veterans, and taking suggestions on what people would like to see instead.

We'd like to hear you guys out, gather feedback, and see what the Community wants as a 10 year celebration of EVE in game.

So, come along to the EVE & DUST Community Panel at Fanfest 2014, and lets sit down and have a talk about what the best solution would be for rewarding our 10 year veterans.

Well at least we know.


We already knew. How? Because CCP announced it as a promised feature. It is a fact learned through experience that CCP never delivers on anything announced in advance. The only features to come to fruition are those that go unannounced up until they are sprung upon an unsuspecting playerbase. But something promised to come? That's a sure sign it will never happen.

So basically, from the moment that the vet station was announced, we knew with certainty that it would never actually happen.

CCP, congratulations on solidifying your reputation once again; I hope you're proud of yourselves.

Well its almost here (I mean eve fest) shame the station aint, then again after 10 years of promises im used to it. The thing is whats the point anyway I have enough stations to visit whats one more as its not going to be special is it :(

10+ years should be something useful and in game as we may get it then :)

No vet sations, because who would want a station only that one guy in your alliance can dock into? Alternatively, who wants to fly through red space just to dock at a station with a bunch of neutrals and reds and do absolutely nothing other than spin your ship?

Who in this thread has been subbed for 10 years straight and would waste a jump clone for this station?


EDIT: Old members already have their reward.....time in game(PERIOD)

Rewarding players in game, for being subbed for some designated period of time, breaks the immersion(PERIOD)

Who cares about a station for players who've been playing for 10+ years. Assuming you've aged at a normal pace one would hope over those 10 years you've become more mature.
