So what was the point of "Burn Jita?"

I see alot of "blowing stuff up is fun" replies.

OK, so my next question is: where is the challenge? Sounds like kids pulling the wings off of flies for the lulz.

But where are those trying to pull the wings off of wasps? Where is the challenge to the aggressors?

I guess I define "fun" by challenge. Freighters dont provide much of a fight IMO.

I think a better idea would be to burn Goon Swarm. Have high sec fly on over and break stuff for a week then fly off. Would really spice things up I think.

Well organised "professional" army versus indisciplined, ill trained, ill equipped militia, full frontal attack. I wonder what the end result would be?

We all know the number game really makes the difference (how many people in fleet) in weather a loss or success. So take PL, Dreddit, the Russians, and anyone who is willing to throw down to meet up. Cyno chain ect. The “militia” arrives at top secret date/ time. Militia flies up to the goon home area and starts bashing. The goons toss together their very effective tengu/ shiny death contraption fleet and go to work. When they deploy said fleet they will target those trying to take sov. Now the mission is not to take anything, the mission IS to break things. So let’s say we “militia” take down some POS’s and a station, catch a few of their miners in a belt. The hive will swarm and come to life. Now I doubt that the militia will last long but I believe it will shake the hive to where the game may become interesting again. I foresee epic amounts of butt hurt and tears. All out wars and will possibly stoke the fires of change. So before you speak think of all the possibilities first. The activate mouth launcher.

I think it wil end the same as the last time a big high sec fleet jumped into null sec:

If you don't find blowing up things for no reason 'fun' then don't do it. It's really as simple as that. I don't find ganking fun so I don't do it, I also don't pass judgement on how someone else enjoys playing a video game.

It's kind of ironic to see someone like you being judgmental about how people have fun in a video game. Most human beings wouldn't **** away the finite amount of time we all get to be on this earth playing a video game like we do and would also wonder (like you are doing is) what the point of it all is.

Hell, me personally, if I'd spent as much time seeking a higher degree as I've spent blowing up imaginary space ships, i'd be Dr. Jenn aSide by now lol, so excuse me if I resit your urge to look down on the gankers here lol.

Are you suggesting that other people should do only those things that YOU agree are fun?

Look Goon, living in the past is not healthy. You are also acting predictably cocky. Go back 1 page and read the test I wrote down for you.

Perceived lack of challenge has it's reason in lack of proper player opposition.

At Burn Jita,
I've seen people try,
but they didn't try good enough.

Oh Jeez. Roll

Funny but in the 21st century, posting any opinion or question suddenly becomes "judgment" for some.

No one is judging, so get off it. Or get some help. In psych terms, you are "internalizing" the theme of the thread.

Personally Im sick of all the politically correct BS in modern society. Everyone is afraid to speak for fear of "offending" someone.

HTFU!!

Rofl, I hate when people project. You turned what I said into a nonsensical rant against political correctness. That's stupid because I'm not being politically correct, i'm pointing out that it's ironic that a video game player would be judgmental against other video game players when the fact is that we're all a little bit bent as evidenced by our hobby.

Your postings about the matter are judgmental (and you reply was just plain mental lol). This is what you posted:

See the bolded parts. If it wasn't your intention to seem insanely judgmental, then pick your words better next time.

No, you were clearly judging them.
That's pretty irrelevant to me, tbh,
but you not recognizing it as such leads to responses like the quoted one above.

You showed opposition to what they are doing and belittled them:
people pulling off wings of flies, etc.

Words have meaning and names have power.

However, words have no meaning if your actions speak a different truth.

Fun. Emergent gameplay. Whoring on freighter killmails. Especially the first one.

I'd have to check the website for it, but IIRC over 50 billion worth in freighter hulls + assets were destroyed in the main market hub of the game over the weekend. That's the kind of emergent content that makes headlines, and is why the Goons should be praised for doing what they do. The fun that came with shooting dudes too ignorant to follow the metagame was a plus as well.

More like 500 billion. Please excuse me while I twirl my mustache and practice my evil laugh.

Thats the question

Those opposed to this or to its organisers have let it happen three times now

Where IS the Jita Whiteknight Firebrigade?

Surely they dont ONLY exist on the forums being jelly and wearing tinfoil?

Do they...?

You should try organizing an event on this scale and then come back and ask where the challenge is.
