Why isn't there a proper system to invite people to join our corp?

there are plenty of ways.

they just don't want to join your corp, and adding mechanics to spam invites at people will change that.

OP probably doesn't know what "awoxing" means and why his idea would be bad because of this. Big smile

WoW has a system like that. It's horrible, constant, cruddy, spam until you join a guild.

I like the way it is now, although the corp finder is just lol because of the crappy hi-sec corps claiming they do everything and ruining the game for new players. IMO you should have to choose your main area of space and playstyle. ie. Lowsec, FW. Low sec, piracy. Hisec, pve. 0.0, pvp. WH, pvp. Hisec, Merc. to stop the LOL adverts that make corp finder unusable.

Step 1) Go shoot at people
Step 2) Recruit the people who have a good attitude about it
Step 3) Repeat
Step 4) Profit

WoW does suck, after all and those of us who suffered on that hateful planet for our sins must carry its taint with us for the rest of our lives

1. A player search feature showing you all players without a corp (npc corp)

2. The ability to set yourself looking for corp, so that you corps can search for you and send you invitations.

3. A proper invitation system with a set invitation message, right click invite to corp player X. Player X receives new invitation.

And so many others..
All implemented within the game, with filters and spam protection (can only invite X Player 1 time, can only invite npc corps players.

Invitations are sent as a notification (can easily be ignored)

Etc.. just a few examples.

1. A silly amount of call requests as hundreds of people join and leave these corps every second. You want to spam people with invites, do some legwork: here you go, Gallente Noob Corp Federal Navy Academy members: http://evewho.com/corp/Federal+Navy+Academy

2. Nobody would pick you up, except people who will invite you, ask you to come help their mining operation in your Orca and then kill you. Or that's your plan for them, and they know it, and won't invite you. Useless.

3. This is exactly how Corp Applications and Corp Adverts work now inthe Corp Tab on the NEOcon.

I think you're making an issue out of nothing. Corp Recruitment works just fine. Let's look at it from the other end - what is your desired outcome here? Get 100's of clueless newbies to crap up your corp channel with the same questions over and over and over and over... Or scam clueless naives into your corp to um "help them" relocate all their worldly goods to your home station? What do you want to do specifically that you feel you can't?

Yeah what else do you want? I have to say it "Go Back to WOW if you want your fairy tale guilds". Here in EVE to be a corp CEO you have to work hard. If recruiting is such a pain in the ass in EVE then how did all these corps do it I ask you??

What were the others and what systems that they used would you suggest CCP employ to improve this?

1. A player search feature showing you all players without a corp (npc corp)

2. The ability to set yourself looking for corp, so that you corps can search for you and send you invitations.

3. A proper invitation system with a set invitation message, right click invite to corp player X. Player X receives new invitation.

Oh. ok kind like the spam fest in WoT? yeah no thanks.

I kind of like the one we have, it leaves it up to the peeps that have the cognitive skills to write an advert be some what social to be able to converse with another human being and build your corp. Kind like the thousands and thousands of corps we have now......

K.

So, EVE sucks because you're not allowed to spam your organization all over the place freely and easily, nor have an in-game tool that allows you to pester people with unsolicited invitations.

I think the United States Postal Service has a position waiting for you.

The EvE corp system is made for people who want to play together. If you want people to join, start up a blog, make forum posts in the applicable areas, keep posting, talk in various channels in EvE, drop a secure container in the area that your corp will consider home, Put it in your bio and your forum signature, and keep posting.

This is a game where you create your own systems to accomplish what you want to do with the tools given you, thats not all its about but its certainly an intrinsic part. Create your own system to harvest names, recruiting is part of business

Regardless of how exploited it will obviously be, the ability to invite people to a corp using a mechanic is a tool that probably should be in the game. It just needs to be implemented intelligently to prevent misuse.

Well, a little misuse is fine, but not too much.
