Is there a "trade hub" for capital ships?

As we all know places like Jita, Amarr, Rens etc. are high-sec trade hubs where people buy/sell items.
However, not everything can be trade in high-sec spaces. Ships like Dreads and Carriers, they can enter the stations but cannot enter the high-sec. People will need to trade them in low-sec or null-sec. I would like to know if there is a "trade hub" for Dreads and Carriers (not Supercarriers), where people usually drive their capital ships there and say WTS/WTB. Thank you.

I'd expect that they just park it in the nearest low sec system they can to one of the hubs and then either put it on market or put it on contract (with the added benefit of contracts being universal visibility over regional).

On the other hand if you're looking to get one and not sell one BPCs are in decent abundance in high sec for ya :P

Thank you very much.
You think more people would rather buy carriers through contract or market? You said that market can only be viewed by region, but in fact if people get on website like EVE-Central, they can view the markets in all regions (just like you can view contracts all over the universe).

My experience has been that the capital ship "trade hub systems" are where either A) an industrial corp makes most of their capitals or B) a place where quite a few people have/store capital ships... like Faction Warfare "rally" systems.

Honestly though... capital ships do not trade hands quite at the level that subcapital ships do... so there is no real "major" hub where they are bought and/or sold.

Also, you may want to consider using a trusted middle man when getting your ship. Probably not for you standard carrier or dread but when looking at the largest flying things. It has happened that group X has sold someone a super carrier and ganked it when it leaves safety.
Quite recently too if I remember correctly.

Capital ships are generally too bulky to be moved to a "hub" for sale. They are sold where they are produced.

So they are on the market where they are produced (most likely a lowsec system bordering highsec) or put them up for contract (which are visible all over EVE), complete with "travel fit + isotopes" so all you have to do is to get to that lowsec station with a pod/noobship, board your new shiny and start plotting your cyno route to where ever you are going.

Personally when I seek a capital ship replacement, I go for contracts simply because I don't want to fiddle with hauling modules and fuel to a lowsec station where a hull is sold - I want a ready-to-travel package with key capital class modules also either available at the same station on the market, or already bundled in the contract. Most sellers understand this and provide ready-to-go packages at competitive prices on the contracts market.

With capital ships, it doesn't really matter where the seller is in EVE, as most of EVE is within a few jumps with the jump drive. Yes, you have to plan your route and get cyno alts in position etc. but that's just what is needed for piloting a capital. 2nd account almost required, unless you are in a good corp (in which case all you need is a couple of helping hands who probably already have cyno alts in strategic midpoints across the empire, ready to be deployed).

When I've purchased capitals, I've just looked for:

* Ships that were available on contracts.
* Ships close to me.
* Ships in lowsec.
* Ships with jump fuel (a surprising number don't have any, or much).
* Fitted ships were a lower priority, but most capitals sell with a travel fit at the very least.

Because of the jump drive, it really never mattered to me where the ship was. I'd take a shuttle or covert ops to pick one up wherever it was.

Are people willing to buy a full fitted carrier? Question

Assuming I am going to sell an Archon. It has jump fuel of course. Also, it has a full bay of all kinds of drones, and all the equipments such as capital armor repairer, remote capital armor repairer, armor hardener, cap recharger etc. fitted on it. Shocked

You think people would like to buy a carrier like that, or simply they just want a empty carrier only with jump fuel? What?

I've sold w-space fitted capitals (dreads and carriers) located in the middle of nowhere (random lowsec regions). It took about a week for each one to sell.

A w-space fitting makes nulsec pilots laugh, as it isn't useful to them.

Yet they sold.

A well fitted capital is a bonus, not a requirement. But if you are in a battle zone, then somebody might want to buy a fully fitted capital to quickly return to battle.
