Hedonism is another major flaw of gallenteans.

Man! I used to visit that place. It used to be so nice, even hosted a few parties back there where we had (half) naked mud wrestling for those into it.

You know Osyn, there's this place in Yashunen... That bakes layers of very soft fudge into a slightly bitter chocolate cake, then coats it in white chocolate... Bloody diabetic coma afterwards, but it's probably the best damned bad-for-me I've ever had. Served warm with some berries of choice. You should try it. Big smile

all things in moderation. you balance asceticism with indulgence, and vice versa.

Clearly, certain people think every Caldari should lead a life as joyless and hateful as them, decrying any pursuit of personal satisfaction or pleasure as "hedonism" (a word which they doen't understand the definition of, although this is one of the rare faults that, far from being unique is actually shared by a large number of IGS posters) clearly ignoring the fact that the Big Eight includes the Nugoeihuvi corporation, the largest consumer entertainment organisation in the cluster. This is not to mention the popularity of the Mercantile Club as a place of leisure and entertainment for the corporate elite, the vast portfolio of leisure goods and services Echelon Entertainment provides or even the popularity of the Gallentean Quafe corporation and the massive visibility of its products even in Jita 4-4, the beating heart of Caldari commerce.

There's also this insane, ludicrous idea that Caldari utterly spurn individualism and self-expression - but take a look at the girl in the foreground of this famous press picture of one of Heth's rallies.
