Worlds Collide (Angel & Sansha/Blood) - some advice

Hi,

recently relocated my main to minnie space but left my NM in Amarr so I can do missions in both areas. Problem is with the above mission. previously I would use my CNR or Golem which I found the initial frigs in room one were ok (ish) to hit. Problem with NM is that once frigs (or other ships) get close and orbit you can sit their all day without hitting - I have high gunnery skills btw. Now without launching and pulling drones back when aggro'd - and losing a few - any pointers as to what others do - was even thinking of having a frig or destroyer to pop the initial frigs then get back in the NM but this seems a bit much

ship has navy tachs & navy crystals
3 navy heatsinks
2 tracking enhancers
4 shield hardeners
booster
shield boost amp
cap boost

(All above T2)

now mids aren't optimal as brought my CN invulvs and officer booster to minnie space....so maybe freeing up a mid for something may help but any ideas advicewould be appreciated - not wanting to pimp the NM at the moment but if the only option then I probably will.

Thanks in advance

Do not agro the 1st 2 frigs that attack ( spy's)

Kill the guns, then the group without frigs in it. Then the group made up mainly of frigs and cruisers followed by the frig and bs heavy group. Once this final group has agro'd, release the drones to mop up.

It shouldn't take anything more than this, lock the frigs 1st in each of the groups and they should all be dead before tracking becomes an issue.

I guess you're talking about the base pockets (jumping through either gate in the initial site).

The room aggro is a bit tricky, but easy to manage, if you know what you're doing. I'm usually doing the Angel side only though, due to some EM/TH weakness on my Machariel.

So once I'm through the gate, I immediately align to get some more distance to all other ship groups. At this time you should be targeted (and, if unlucky, scrambled by the elite/spy frigates). I usually ignore them, if I don't get a lucky opening shot on them (as you mentioned, they're almost impossible to hit close by). So I ignore them. This can get risky and make you lose your ship, if you don't pay attention or overestimate your skills, but it's not hard in general.

Well, back to the strategy: I fly off in a direction leading me to open space so I don't aggro anything else by accident. The trick here is to NOT attack the spy frigates with drones (or let any other ship do this), as that will cause full room aggro (something you simply can't tank unless you've got some very expensive fit I'd say). So, once I'm getting some distance, I start picking off anything that aggroed me other than the spy frigates (as I can't hit them). Once that's done I start picking off group by group while the spy frigates still orbit me. This can be a bit tricky, depending on your ships, skills and luck (spy frigates webbing you yes/no). Once the other ships are quite decimated (so I'm sure I'm able to tank the whole room), I take on these, plus start my drones for the first time and use these to take out the spy frigates. In case any of the drones gets aggro, I recall them for a second.

Ignore spy's frigs . They orbiting abaut 10-15km if you send drone thay will get agro but, rest of frigs orbit very close about 4-5km and you can kill them using drone(no agro.)
