Anybody tried lowering gfx settings to minimum?

Just to add, few of my corp mates are having the same issues.. Spend most of my times today spinning ship in station..

Does not change any of my settings and has tried to clear all cache few times.. No success...

Yes.. It would be good if one of the Devs post or update here.. This seems to happen to a fair number of players.

There were a few folks in Help reporting the same issue. It would probably be useful to let CCP know through an official channel as they might not always catch a random GD thread..

Joffy Aulx-Gao for CSM. Fix links and OGB. Ban stabs from plexes. Fulfill karmic justice.

Well yes, I did post there. Unfortunately it received even less attention and traffic than this particular section of the forum..

I've crashed twice today. And not just the usual 'socket closed' thing but the game crashes, which I don't remember the last time that happened.

was told to swich off the sound in esc menu (yes eve has sound) and it seems to have stoped the problem, or at least reduced the numbers id failures

That sounds like a graphics issue. [EDIT: or ya, sound. EVE has sound?]

If using the captain's quarters, try switching to hangar mode and see if that helps.

Also try changing graphics setting, especially reducing shader level, disabling post-processing and shadows.

Oh, you mean the forum where only four of the threads active over the last week / on the front page have any dev responses at all and where any response you do get will most likely take a day or more? That forum?

And then there is GD where the chances of a dev response are lower but the chances of a crowd-sourced useful response in a timely manner are far higher ...

If what I actually wanted was to optimise the speed with which my problem got fixed the sensible thing to do would be to post in both.

What's really funny? (or, not so funny actually) is that I can have four eves up and running, and only one will get a closed socket error. Or, they will all go down one by one. Irritating as hell. Hopefully, the summer expansion might have some kind of remedy to this??? Not just industry upgrades (although, they do make me very happy!)
