I would love a true high detail model kit (assembly and paint required) in a 1:350 scale.

Catalyst would be my first priority complete with a choice of rails or blasters

SOE Astero including a full flight of drones would be my second priority

Comet with a full flight of drones is third.

In this scale the Catalyst would be approx. 25 cm long and 81 cm wide making for an awesome display piece! (assuming that the Catalyst is supposed to be 88m by 284m), the Astero and Comet would both be around 20 cm

- Painted, and assembled. Sizeable. EHP-aware freighter pilot's first choice and the awesome Space Jacket Potato needs to become a reality so it can dominate my desk with its weight. The prettier the better. nomnomnom

I'd say remove the large protrusion underneath the Thorax. It would make it more streamlined and sexier.

Not exactly the purview of this thread, but there are several models that could do with 'tweaking' like that.

There are also models that have absolutely no balance. Balance is important since we supposedly have ships doing speeds and accelerations measured in 'infinities'. Bilateral (at least) symmetry is visually pleasing even to the layman's eye. An unbalanced ship just simply doesn't look right.

Oh, and Jake... do you truly support James 315 and the New Order? Rather foolish, that.

i wouldn't mind seeing some unique skinned cruisers for the pirate factions with subsystems perhaps each pirate faction having it's own subsystems and one model ship for all factions, so u could mix and match subsystems for each faction, creating a hybrid

I would love to see a Nyx.

Lighting would be cool but most of all it needs to be high quality. The quality of the models you guys had originally was quite bad. The color was extremely washed out and the fidelity was quite low. I'd like to accurate color and proper casting.

For what you were charging for the old models I'd expect something similar in quality and representation to some of MTH Trains' HO Scale models (Without the moving parts, lights and sounds etc of course)

Meh, I'm indifferent... As long as it actually flies and can warp, I have no complaints...

I think that the models being similar to the very high-end gundam models from Japan will make them the most meaningful to own. I would feel much more attached to a high quality model that I invested time and effort in to assembled and paint myself than to a cheap-feeling toy that I would just buy and put on my desk.

The huge fanbase of EVE Online and the personal attachment they feel towards their favorite ships should make for a huge market potential for high quality hobby grade kits of most ships in EVE.

That being said, I would gladly purchase the Rifter, Hurricane, Vindicator, Archon, and Hel.

I would love to have a Widow or a Wyvern model.

I've forgotten if I already suggested it, but a Redeemer would be nice to have. Bonus points if the model can be assembled, painted and comes with drones and a large base, so I can add everything together for maximum effect.

Why not add an animation to all ships where you can see the shadows of crew members moving around inside of the windows?

I'm not entirely sure what would be worse: Your idea applied to actual models (How should that even work? Shadowpuppets, powered by batteries?) or applied to the game. Most ships are large enough you wouldn't ever see those shadows, since you can't zoom in enough.

But in other news: Page 38, still people post without noticing the thread is about the kind of model you have on your shelf, not the immaterial kind made of pixels.

I think all of the models should be released.

What I haven't come across yet are plastic model kits that need to be glued together and then painted.

Release the all-time favorite Rifter with basic painting instructions along with a NEX Ship Painting Scheme and CCP should have a winner.

Hmm although I fly a mach I think its ugly, back end like an a**. I would love to see the dramiel, even a naga, and some lovely amarr bss. Also a megathron and sos ships.
T3 would be cool, a legion, Tengu, but whatever is made should be high quality. I have been making and painting models for years, and although I prefer ones that are made and painted by yourself, I understand not everyone has the skills or time to make one, so if pre painted and made they must be of a very high quality, and detail.
Lighting would be cool and easy to implement.

Are you sure they are windows? We have lights like these on geckos and they clearly don't indicate a window.

Hey guys!

So, CCP t0rfifrans has released some news, asking you guys which ship models you'd love to see!

You can check out the news article here, and this thread is for discussion of it.

Please read the article fully before you comment, as there are specific instructions there and we'd like to make sure everyone has their voices heard!

Cheers!

special release LEGO would be the best, i got the superstar destroyer over 1 meter long, an avatar titan would fit perfectly next to it... for sure you should try to make it bigger than 30 cm, I'd prevere 50cm to 1 meter

first thing what people must say when they see it .. "WTF IS THIS ****?"

the Avatar Titan should be the biggest lego model in history, with special lego stones in gold color, if that is not doable then choose the Leviathan, that should be pretty easy with the grey lego standard stones

I'm sure LEGO could setup the model fast and get production rolling soon...

and well we should get fedo plush
