My EVE

So I see a message for a guy in trouble. Initially details are sketchy, just that "he needs help in X system." I check on a bunch of my characters how close I am on each. 7 jumps on one, handily in a Golem as the problem is "pirates." Golem will handle that nicely.

After asking a bunch of questions for an appropriate response it transpires it's some guy in a legion neuting him out, with 2 logi and an Orca. Alright I'm thinking, well there's little i can do there, I'm only on my own so two tech II logi I'm gonna struggle with. But what I can do dude is fly your raven so you just gotta eject. When I'm in it they won't be able to shoot at it.

I make the 7 jumps in a shuttle, final bit of intel, how far from the warp in are you? "16km." Right well as soon as I get there, eject so I can then board your ship, warp as soon as you eject. I get into the system and warp to him dropping me at the warp in beacon, 45km away. FFS, nice job clicking the beacon buddy. Immediately hit approach, when I'm about 15km off I remind him eject now (give a little lee-way for my session change timer when I drop the shuttle). "OK." "I can't eject." Really? Bu you're not hsooting them, and I doubt you have been for a while, since it took me at least 30-45 seconds to fly over here since you got your distance wrong.

I get to suitable range and eject from my shuttle, which is relatively quickly scooped by the Orca, but hey, who misses 20k? Now I'm cutting this bit short because I don't like to think about the implants I have and just how long I was orbiting this raven in my pod. Telling him he needs to eject for me to board so I can warp away in it since I'm not involved in an engagement with them.

He doesn't eject, they blow him up. End of story.
