Omnidirectional Mod not updating drone

i see differences.....sometimes.

but it seems there are a few time it doesn't work ,but it's hard to tell, it's more of a feeling.

this and the fact sentrys are bugged anyway, was attacking a pos yesterday (small) with ishtars, using gardes, sitting at 30 km.


gardes missed around 10-15% of their shots.....yeah, they can't track a pos @ optimal, maybe it's moving too fast or sig is too low, i dunno........

I dont know may be employees in CCP who are responsible for this work are lack of education? Or what?

Or you not have people for fix this? But you took a lot of people with closed WoD, or you need close DUST or or something else?

Thanks for the reports of this issue, we are aware of it and I've mentioned previously here. Unfortunately it's not a simple fix and requires some extensive background work before we could address it.

You will find that, (as some people have mentioned) the issue only affects what the show info window displays and that in practice all the correct bonuses are still being applied to your drones.

I hope that satisfies some of your concerns!

I mean, you changed the module with the knowledge that it will break the display, right?
So you must have had some estimation how long it will remain broken.

Don't forget about ship insurance before undocking. Don't forget about copy-paste saving before posting.

could you also look into adding drone control range into the attributes tab please next to the other drone info there..

T3's need to be versatile so no rigs are necessary ... they should not have OP dps and tank

ABC's should be T2, remove drone assist, separate HAM's and Torps range, -3 HS for droneboats

I've found this to be working while the drones are still in their drone bay, but once they are deployed the attributes are not updated in the info window

The problem is that I have to alt-tab to EFT to find out those bonuses, so I might have Curators or Bouncers deployed and not knowing that my target is within the optimal range of my Gardes, and therefore doing less damage (or the opposite - having Gardes deployed and not knowing that the target is outside of their optimal).
This bug does not ignore bonuses only from Omindirectional Tracking links, but from ship bonuses that are present on Dominix and Ishtar and skills like Drone Sharpshooting.
But I'm glad that CCP at least isn't pretending that this bug doesn't exist.

Workarounds are not bugfixes.

This issue predates the omnidirectional change and wasn't caused by it. It did however draw peoples attention to the problem. Due to the foundation work needed to fix this, I'm afraid its impossible to estimate a timescale for a fix. Rest assured that it's an issue we are aware of and once the foundation work is out the way, I'll make sure this issue is prioritized correctly.

Both of you are correct here, the issue affects the display of modifications to a drones stats when in space, but while in the drone bay the stats all update correctly.

This statement is not quite consistent with my own experience. I fly a Domi with three Omni IIs fitted; I do not have perfect skills.
Garde II base stats are 24km optimal, 12km falloff, 0.036r/s tracking
In my drone bay, these values are modified to 39/12/0.0468
With all three Omni IIs deactivated, these values are 39/12/0.0468
With all three Omni IIs activated, but not scripted, these values are 39/12/0.0468
With all three Omni IIs active and scripted for optimal, these values are 39/12/0.0468
With all three Omni IIs active and scripted for tracking, these values are 39/12/0.0468

I haven't done the math to verify, but my suspicion is that the Domi's hull bonuses are being applied to the info window stats, while the Omni bonuses are not.

yes, the drones stats when you do show info while they are in the drone bay reflects your skills + hull bonus but not the omnis

when in space, it's their raw stats

Every last patch you, CCP, change drone attributes and attributes of drone modules, and you, CCP, think that players must each new patch to calculate new parameters for each ship with drones in the hangar?

I sincerely upset that I paid for a subscription.
