I haven't been able to argue with CCP about this issue, but I would like the opportunity.

You're going to have to come up with something better than "BUT THAT'S JUST YOUR OPINION YOU BLOODY LIAR" if you want to have a proper discussion with CCP. Or anyone over the age of 12 tbh.

Nice! I hope it's not all dirt but also some wood patina that's creating that coloration?

I feel the same way about make-up sometimes

But not always

In my case? Because 3 year olds spill things.

I do agree with you on the appeal of getting it down to the basics, but a lot of the "touch ups" are for practicality and not aesthetics, unfortunately.

He is allowed to develop his own opinion of why he feels I'm doing what I am, but ultimately, those are his opinions that he's created.

Which ends up being:

Yea the whole finishing side is rather time consuming and you lose the room for quite some time. I'm lucky in the fact it's being worked on anyway and just a part of the long list of things left to do. Did I say lucky? What?Lol

CCP has said no such thing. I regularly benefit while either AFK or even completely-logged off, and CCP is completely ok with it.

Except that the argument for being AFK cloaking is that there is NO possible benefit, which by showcasing the example I did, I demonstrate a very real possibility of it being used in a manner that can lead to a benefit while AFK.

Fair enough. I read "not supposed" in your statement as some kind of CCP judgement. Chalk it up to ambiguity.

Divine Entervention wrote:
Now since I've proven that there is a possible benefit by explaining how, the argument for cloaking indefinitely needs to be shifted away from "there is no benefit being derived by the person who is AFK" into a more realistic stance of "we don't mind the benefit being provided by someone who is cloaking afk."
Simply theorycrafting a potential benefit is insufficient cause to overturn the position that AFK cloaking is benefit-less. You would need to demonstrate that the potential benefit is actually occurring, or that evidence of it occurring is impractical to obtain. You've done neither of those things.

And it could be argued that CCP's continued inaction demonstrates their belief that the gossamer advantage you posit is allowable.

Some of that can be sanded out, though, but yes, it's perhaps better to wait a decade or so in that case. Lol

Incorrect. That's just yet another of your tried-and-failed strawman arguments. I have no idea why it is you feel so intent on relying on lies and fallacies. I don't care about why either. I just care about the fact that you are, which poisons and derails any discussion you take part in, same as your tired tactic of trying to dismiss facts as opinions, as if you had no idea how to distinguish the two.

I simply feel that I'm justified in correcting the many many many many many errors you keep spouting about… oh… just about everything you care to mention, such as when you try to foist off your opinion as fact.

Well in fairness, here is an example of a person using AFK cloakers to indefinitely conduct surveillance on both sides from a jump gate:
http://www.twitch.tv/fw_subsparx

That cam is pretty much all day, and it's public. Which means considering we understand we can't know everything that is going on, it's safe to make the assumption that someone, somewhere else might be doing this exact same thing in another location, privately. Privately invoking the concern that because it's unknown, it's unavoidable to stop.

Also, considering the potential for people to discover new ways to use available technology, AFK cloaking presents liability in it's use similar to the fashion of the link I provided. Now there's no real reason to "keep" afk cloaking as is other than choosing not to make the effort in changing it. But as shown, there's a liability which demonstrates an actual reason, I believe, to want to change it from preventing more situations as depicted by that stream to begin surfacing.

That's cool, you're allowed to feel that way because you are you and that's how you choose to interpret what you observe.

But to me, since I actually do know what I'm thinking and why I'm saying what I am, your explanations of why I am do not reflect the reality, only your own reality.

Saved and thanks.

Also, I have quoted that exact line before.

Divine says, "The Big Lebowski is the greatest movie of all time! This is 100% proven fact!"

and then Tippia says, "actually your argument is fallacious and you live in a delusional world because it's been proven by the bestmovieofalltime.org research institute that the greatest movie of all time is in fact Gone with the Wind, so your claim is false and you're a liar and everything you say is a lie."
