By illustrating a scenario within the confines of eve that demonstrates it's possible, then I prove that it's possible. Because it's possible, I then proved it's possible. It's a liability right now, and I'm addressing it by depicting how it can be used in a manner to provide something of value, while AFK, with no real counter play.

I proved there exists a very real potential for it to be providing an incredibly valuable service through private streaming all while AFK with no effective counterplay, now since this potential exists while it can be done AFK, meaning there is a huge potential negative effect it can be having, considering the person is AFK, he's not suppose to be extracting a benefit. Which means unless a potential exploit is going to be allowed to exist, then it needs to be made non-existent.

then attempted to get us (who just called you out on it) to fall for it. when that didnt work (and after like 2-3 locked threads) you then attempted it on tippa with hilarious results.

Which based on your own opinion, you subjectively place your value on to what you feel is worth more.

So while you feel it may be worth more to you, it's very well possible that someone else value something else entirely.

You really like apples. I prefer oranges. To me, an apple is less valuable than an orange, even though you personally feel the opposite.

No. My assumption lies with the naïve thought that when you say something you mean it and that you are not a pathological liar. CCP has said no such thing. I regularly benefit while either AFK or even completely-logged off, and CCP is completely ok with it.

It was a real pain. Had to clean each joint before I started and I still have the hall and dinning room to do, but now I've done this I'm not dreading the other quite so much. I still have about the same again to lay though, but it's well worth it

Except that the argument for being AFK cloaking is that there is NO possible benefit, which by showcasing the example I did, I demonstrate a very real possibility of it being used in a manner that can lead to a benefit while AFK.

I haven't been able to argue with CCP about this issue, but I would like the opportunity. In the mean time, the only argument I have on the matter is with those who disagree, you here now choosing to argue it.

Now since I've proven that there is a possible benefit by explaining how, the argument for cloaking indefinitely needs to be shifted away from "there is no benefit being derived by the person who is AFK" into a more realistic stance of "we don't mind the benefit being provided by someone who is cloaking afk."

No, that's not really an argument anyone makes.

Oh, and there's no “except that” — CCP has made no claim of the sort, and as many of their mechanics demonstrate, they are entirely ok with people reaping a benefit without even having to be logged in.
