"This week in EVE" is a weekly overview of EVE Online related news and events and shows what is going on in EVE Online. The focus of this overview is on official news from CCP: For example, dev blogs and important forum posts by CCP developers, the ever evolving background story and upcoming events. The summary of the week 16/2014 can be found here. Available is also the overview 2014

  • Fanfest 2014 - A Festival for the Best of Fans -Forum discussion
    • Fanfest 2014, the incredible and epic annual player gathering in Iceland, starts May 1st. This blog gives you an overview of Fanfest and the full schedule. Get prepared for exciting presentations and a ton of other activities. Even if you cannot travel to Fanfest, you still can join in as EVE TV will broadcast live with a regular and a HD stream. Don't miss Fanfest!

  • EVE OF DESTRUCTION Pits CCP Developers in Brawl Against World-Class MMA Fighter at EVE Fanfest
    • At Fanfest 2014 we will see world class Brazilian jiu-jitsu specialist Gunnar Nelson fighting against 10 CCP developers and special guests in one-versus-one wrestling matches back-to-back. The winner of each match is determined by submission, with unlimited time per round and only enough time between rounds for the introduction of the next competitor. This event will take place on May 2 at 20:00 UTC and is broadcasted live. Tune in!

  • Alliance Logo Submissions On Hold
    • CCP Falcon explains that currently work is in progress on a more robust system for the display of alliance logos in EVE Online. While this work is in progress, the current submissions for alliance logos is temporarily on hold. For discussions please use this thread.

  • Sov Index status via API?
    • A player asked if there is a way of seeing the Military, Industrial and Strategic of any Sov held system via the API? Unfortunately this is currently not possible.

  • Audio session at Fanfest
    • CCP WhiteNoiseTrash explains in this feedback filled and interesting thread that there will be an audio round table at Fanfest. Additionally we can expect an audio related dev blog in the future. Stay tuned!

  • Mac EVE client damaged from download?
    • If you have issues with the Mac EVE client being damaged, then please follow the instructions by GM Akilian and players in this thread.

  • Do you want the contact list/player notes page file being accessible via the API?
    • CCP FoxFour is curious if there is broad interest for you being able to access your contact list and in-game notes via the API or if that is something interesting only for a tiny group.

  • Fanfest 2014: Alliance Leader Panel
    • CCP Dolan informs us that all of the presenters of the Fanfest "Alliance Leader Panel" should have received an EVE-mail with details on submitting their presentations and rules for the panel. We should be curious on what they come up...
