I have an alt i skilled awhile back for incursions, but have since decided I dont want to do them. I want to learn some pvp, and figure my alt will be the best to learn this with.

Her skills have this:
Spaceships:

Gunnery:

Engineering:

She really has nothing else.... Cyber V but that is all. What would be the suggested route for getting in to FW with a pilot of such build.

Thx

A list of FW corporations that are actively recruiting can be found here: http://www.factionwarfare.com/recruiting-corps/

The best advice is to find a new player friendly corporation that bases out of a FW low sec system. This will automatically put you among people who are willing and able to teach newer players to PvP, and will help you avoid the more risk averse corporations that base out of high sec.

For Gallente, my suggestions would be Noob Mercs and Aideron Robotics for newer players.

We Gallente have a saying: "CCP created the Gallente Militia to train the Fighters..."

You don't need that many skills for FW, an alt can be trained in 6 hours and clear all plexes.

Train up your core skills up. You'll need it since fitting a frigate is very tight especially in FW if you want to push your ship and skills to the limit to win a fight. Get thermodynamics and overheat every fight. Since you're mostly turret based you can either: Stay with amarr frigs or cross-train into other racial frigs.

It's advisable to base in FW lowsec since if you base in HS you will more or less encounter gatecamps on the highsec-lowsec gates. Especially lowsec station systems that have a highsec connection. It is always camped. Join a FW corp for maximum enjoyment of FW.

In FW you must not lose your pod for any reason so learn to align out if you're in structure and spam the warp button. That way the moment you pop you'll be in warp to wherever you are aligned. Try to pick celestials that are stacked with each other so your enemy will have a hard time chasing your pod.

Make instadock/undocks for your base station in case you get station camped. Gate tacs and deep safespots are also a must. Learn who the local war targets are and avoid those that are multiboxed/linked to hell/neutral alts as a solo player since you're most likely going to lose your ship.

Dscan is your best friend so learn how to use it. Keep your ships cheap at first when doing pvp so you can learn from your loses while keeping it low. if you're joining calmil set j4lp and in some cases the entire amarr militia corporations to red since they like to awox calmil.

Post with your NPC alt main and not your main main alt!
