Oh, Schere, sweetie, you're even more adorable with that severely fabu 'do!

Gosh, thank you! My stylist said she wanted to try a thing that she saw in a NOHolo show last week. She knows better than me!

I'm glad you found it useful! What's that...? Oh. Oh, of course!

I do make that mistake frequently, don't I? Perhaps I should sue them. Really, now, I'm older than dirt. Maybe I should hire a Gallidoodle trademark attorney to look into questions of prior use... I kid, Diana! I kid.

You sure you're a calculator? For all your talk against feelings and the inherent flaws of human nature, you sure do seem to derive joy (a human feeling) from pushing people's buttons.

Wait wait wait. I don't get it. You think she's an appliance (that's the joke anyways)... but it's the people that have buttons for pushing? Buttons that make emotions? Who's supposed to be the calculator? I'm so confused!

Pushing a button in the context of a human means deliberately discussing a topic sensitive to said human in a passive aggressive manner to encourage a negative emotional response (either vocal or otherwise). This is done by individuals who find joy in causing this negative response, dislike an individual and wish to attack them, and/or attempt to compensate for some other factor in their life that they feel needs compensating for.

Makes sense?

If I could interrupt all this pillowtalk with an aside from little me … what sort of electrical device are you, Mr Anslo? And do you ever run out of batteries? I once had a toy that would never shut up, I couldn’t wait for it to run out because it drove me nuts, but then I realised it had an on/off switch and all I had to do was choose when to listen to it. That way I could still play with it and not get mad at it for being obnoxious. On/off buttons are miraculous. But I’m curious about the ‘compensation’ button. What’s that?

Dude what.

Mr Anslo, I'll put it this way ... I found a toy on the Galnet that switches itself off when you switch it on. How do you compensate for something that pushes buttons like this?

You don't.
