I don't think I indicated you were speaking for anyone in particular, but you seem to be showing obvious signs of submission.

I don't have anything against the goons (I think a lot of the hot air about Goons is by people with no real experience with any of them and they just repeat what they read others writing, which is also based solely on reading and no experience), I don't have anything against miners either, nor James 315 (have had no dealings with him).

I do have respect for people who actually achieve things though. Chribba for example is right up there in that same group. He's as much a "cool kid" as The Mittani and James 315.

But sorry to derail your butthurt ranting. You can go back to your submissive resignation.

If someone wants to "play by themselves", then they shouldn't be subscribed to an MMORPG.

You don't get to pretend other players don't exist in EVE.

Are these threads like a means of advertising the latest "burn Jita" thing? There is some coordination between movie programming and products, especially when the corporations involved own both the product and the cable channel. Kind of like greasing the skids ahead of time.

It's the usual stuff and the usual thread and the usual trolls but I'm here to notice the usual trolls and that does not give me any boost in self esteem.

One part of the problem is that many (themepark) MMOs DO let players pretend other players don't exist. They are basically single player games with all the mechanics that allow for people to totally ignore others. Hell, the very structure of those games (with shards and such) reinforces it.

So when some of the people come to a REAL multiplayer (unified world, non-consensual interactions) game they end up like "wtf, this ain't like I'm used to". As we've seen, some people can't even stand the idea that a game like this even exists.

You already know what I think of folks like that (and the games they come from lol).

Are you feeling enjoyment battling or even overcoming past subjugation as a child?

Do you ever feel like less of a man by letting another man tell you what to do, i.e. fill out votes for you, give you text to recite, act how he tells you to act?

I'm curious because when I was a silly child I told betas what to do much in this same fashion, I learned from it and grew up. Seeing it now as an adult and seeing men being uterrly dominated by other men in the exact same way give a sick twist to it. Please answer honestly.
