Yet another WH question

This may sound like a silly one, but..

I'm pretty clued up on the whole WH thing now apart from actually moving there, I've done my reading, I know what the classes are and the buff's and de-buffs and i know some of the tactics, I know WHAT a static is, but I'm unsure as to find out if a wormhole in a system IS a static, but that's not the main question of the topic.

For the people that live in WH space, how the hell do you get back to the same system? Aren't statics just wormholes to the same grade of space? So even if you live in a C1 with a HS-Static, how do you get back to your C1 if the WH closes before you get back in? Obviously the space isn't structured like K-Space with known links to set system like the k-space gates, so isn't every WH random to a certain degree? You know what space it's going to but not specific system?

Sorry if my question is garbled, It's 7am and I've just got off a 10 hour night shift. Ugh, bed time.

Ok, but then what happens if the hole get closed while your main or whoever is hauling loot back to empire to sell...

Use the scanning alt you leave in the WH at all times to scan a way out? If you don't want to risk searching a chain, then wait until you have a k-space exit from your home and come in through that.

You're only hope is an alt character in the C1 or a corp mate still in there that can scan out and bookmark the new static.

If the static for a system is of the type D845, then if you find a wormhole in that system of that type, odds are pretty high that'll be the static. If there is 2 wormholes of that type, you can't know for certain but that doesn't happen often.

Thanks, I must have been tired because I just worked it out in my head how to find your way back in, first you have to scan your way out to a K-space system then just backtrack to your system right?

So long as it hasn't rolled, yes. If it's rolled, then you need to scan your way to k-space again, and enter through there.

Alts lots of alts - doesn't take long to train a spare char slot upto a basic scanner, with dual/multi char training you can stick a char on for a month or so and get it upto covert ops capable.

Also useful to train them upto atleast basic industrials (can offline stuff in an alt then in the wh if your worried about it being stolen, etc.) or a prowler can be really useful.
