AUCTION OF EACS

On the 15th Oct 2010 I was successful with the purchase of Estel Arador Corp Services, which was and has continued to be a free jump clones service with access to more stations than any other similar service available.

Unfortunately due to real life it has become more difficult to continue running the service as I have over the last 3.5 years and therefore this great corp and service will be once again up for sale following a similar process that was used previously. (Which I have used much of the wording from the previous post, so thanks Estel once again)

Please read these posts carefully! The auction will be different from most auctions run here.

Background:

EACS is EVE's leading jumpclone service. The corporation was founded on 24 November 2008 and started operating as a jumpclone service slightly over one week later (2008.12.03). EACS currently has jumpclone-grade standings to 49 NPC corporations and offers access to medical services in 1092 stations, which is 70% to 75% of all publicly accessible jumpclone facilities ingame.

On 15th October 2010 it was sold and has continued to operate in the same way as before, with over 54,000 capsuleers using the service since inception.

Description:
This auction will be for
Complete control over EACS
it includes:
– CEO position of Estel Arador Corp Services [EACS].
– 95 000 out of 100.000 [EACS] shares.
– The right to use the corporation and the name of the corporation as you please, including for any type of jumpclone service.
– A prominently placed link to your new thread in my old thread (see below).

Furthermore, if so desired, I can stay in EACS as a director for up to a week to support the new owner.

The auction does not include:
– The current EACS forum thread. Forum threads cannot be sold, and you wouldn't be able to edit it yourself in any case.
– The character or the name Alatia Lithia or EACS Manager, You can make factual statements about me and the service, “previously run by Alacta Lithia”, etc., but you cannot use my name in any disingenuous way, such as implying I'm still involved in the service or claiming I endorsed something I didn't.
– Access or sale of any of the characters that are used in the offering of the additional EACS services such as Corp updating and alliance creation, of course you can offer your own services if you can deliver.

Completing the sale
After the winner has transferred the full amount of isk to me I will complete the sale by enacting everything listed above. If the winner would like to use a third party, Chribba's service can be used. Any fees associated with that will be paid by the winner.

Read the following post carefully for the procedure. The auction will be different than most here in Sell Orders. I will use a two-stage sealed-bid auction.

Auction procedure

Explanation:
This auction will be a two-stage sealed-bid auction.
Arrow“Sealed-bid” means that bids are sent by private message instead of by public bids. You don't know who previous/other bidders are or what they bid, so there's no requirement to bid higher than the previous bidder as in open auctions. Anyone who is interested can send in a bid at their own valuation, reducing competition and encouraging a fair valuation.

Arrow“Two-stage” means that there will be two rounds in the auction. In the first stage, anyone can make a bid. At the end of the first round, the highest bid of the stage will be disclosed (the amount, not who the bidder is). In the second stage the three highest bidders of the first stage will then be given the option to raise their bids (again by sealed bid). Whoever has the highest bid after the second stage wins the auction.

This procedure allows you to participate in the auction completely anonymously; only the winner will be announced in the end.

Ties
In the case there are several bids at the same price during the first stage the highest 3 bids will continue to the second stage (if the first and second or second and third are tied), or, if the third and fourth bid are tied, the highest 4 bids will continue to the second stage.
If after the second stage the highest bids are tied, more rounds of sealed bidding will take place until there is a winner.

Changing/withdrawing bids
Bids can be changed/withdrawn at any time during the first stage. Whatever bid is listed at the end of the first stage will be counted. Of course I prefer it if you don't change your bid too often, as it increases the chance of errors. Take your time considering your bid, you've got several days to submit a bid.

Reservation
I do currently have a reservation and should this not be met by stage 2, all parties would be informed, my preference is to have the corp sold and not look for an alternative solution.

Auction to Sale:
This is an auction thread and the idea is for it to run its course, but this is a game and should someone wish to discuss an extraordinary offer to purchase it outright it might be considered.

How to bid
The way to bid is send an EVEmail to Alacta Lithia stating you are bidding for ownership of EACS and the bid amount.

Posting a bid in this thread is not a valid bid.

Deadlines
ArrowStage 1 will run from 17th April 2014 until the end of the day, Thursday 1st May (Eve time) STAGE 1 HAS ENDED
ArrowStage 2 will run from 1st May 2014 until downtime on Sunday 4th May 2014.

Transfer of the corp will take place as soon as possible after that.

You can be the owner of EACS by following these steps:
1) Send an evemail to “Alacta Lithia”, list your bid. Do not post bids in this thread.
2) Wait for the first stage to end, see if you've made it to the second stage.
3) If you made it into the second stage, consider raising your bid.
4) Wait for the second stage to end, see if you've won.

Note: in the interest of fairness, I will not make any comments regarding bids at all. Only the highest bid will be disclosed at the end of the first stage, and the winner at the end of the second stage.

Some additional stats for interest only
Arrow This was based on a donation bases, you can decide if you keep using this model.
Arrow I recorded the number of new applications each day and each time I transferred isk out of corp.

Average number of joins per day:
- March: 48
- Feb: 54
- Jan: 43

Income: Average since ownership: 46.4 mil per day.
- Unfortunately I can not split out any donations for some of the others services although they are a lot fewer.
- Because this was all run as a free, on donations only, it is variable.
- 2012 we had an average of 28 pilots per day using the jump clone service.
- 2013 we had an average of 48 pilots per day using the jump clone service.
- We have active wardecs which have made little difference to the use of the service, people join, get clones and leave.

Time: I generally log on twice per day to accept applications and reject applications where there are assigned roles for the jump clones service.

This has been a free service run on donations only, we have recently just started to charge for faction boosting.

I truly hope that someone will take over running this corp and continue the service that it has provided for so long.

While I have never used the service myself I do respect what it offers and the fact that it is a donation only service.

Stage 1 has now been closed, the top three successful bidders have been informed of the highest bid amount for stage 1 and are now given until DT on Sunday to change their bid if they so wish.

Should you have not been successful in moving to stage 2, you have also received an in game mail.
