fw logi frigates,lp gain and joining fleets?

So are how good are logi frigates in fw?
Are they missing out on lp because they can shoot stuff?
Would i be able to join fleets if i stay in my own corp?(i want to put down my own pos for reserach).
I gave the eve uni and wiki a glance but i didnt find answes :S.

Also i just want to do fw out of boredom when people from my other corp are not online.

any decent fleet should have a drone bunny you can assign your drone to and [if you keep them alive] they'll get you on the killmails while you focus on repping

I'm pretty sure when in fleet, you get LPs from all killed wartargets even if you're not on every (or any) killmail.

Don't know the details, but I'd assume you just need to be on-grid (even in a pod).

Logi frigates are great in FW if the fleet is doctrine is based around having them. If you want to fly them make sure everyone in your fleet has the same tank type that you rep and all have buffer fit. Also make sure all members of fleet know how to broadcast for reps properly and that you know how to follow broadcast history tab.

Joining fleets can be difficult for new people in new corps for a few reasons. Not that many people run open militia fleets and when some do they are unwilling to accept pilots they don't recognise into their gang for fear of spies.

My advice would be be prepared to fly alone in FW as you can't always rely on others to be around when you want to play. In terms of getting into fleets, find out who the most a active corp/alliance is in your chosen militia and try to join them.

I don't play FW itself but I've fought in FW space with frigates including logi support (I flew a Burst). It was a lot of fun and we killed a Myrmidon one day. So I'd say it's definately a viable idea from a PVP standpoint.
