Creating an Effective Mining Market

Hello All!


I am fairly new player to the eve universe and my alts main focus is mining, however upon my mined ore being placed in the hanger, I have several questions regarding how does one set up a beginning market to sell their mined Ore?How do you eventually make substantial profits from selling the mined ore on the market? My current skills are Industry V, Mining V,Trade 3, Retail 3, Marketing 3, and Broker Relations 3. Please if any of you can help that will be greatly appreciated, because currently I am selling ore directly to my corp. However, I just don't want that to be the only source of income for me, I want to expand my ores to bigger markets.

Haul the ore to a trade hub and sell?.

In the summer expansion we should see a compressed ore market. So maybe you should look at getting the ore compressed, then ship it to a trade hub, or try and sell it where you are.

If you're not looking for a quick turnaround amass large quantities of your ore and then you can just sell it from wherever you're storing it. There's a channel ingame called minerals and ore (i think) that, once you amassed a large amount you can post on and you'll likely find a buyer. Check average prices in a few regions to determine what you'll sell for. The larger amount of ore, the higher you can ask for it (buyers will pay a premium for not having to do several stops to get what they want).

Currently, there really isn't a market for raw ore. If you have the skills, refine it and sell the minerals.

Post summer, you will have the option of hauling it to a POS and compressing it. There will be a market for compressed ores. Failing that, you will need excellent refining skills to refine it.

tl;dr: refine your ore that is in station and sell the mins before this summer's changes go live.

max out your refine skills and sell the minerals if you want to make the most isk for your time.
